- Due to a rail strike, the transportation of a load of nuclear waste has to be done by road. Zoe's task is to make sure that the transportation of nuclear waste reaches its destination safely. MI5 receives evidence that a discontented army officer is planning to lead the armed services in a mutiny. Tom is sent to investigate undercover but is convinced he is wasting his time. When Danny arrives to release Tom from the task, his cover is blown and it becomes clear that Major Curtis has attached explosives to the nuclear waste that is being transported by road.—R
- Having received information from a Corporal that his commanding officer is planning industrial action, Tom goes undercover in a military Regiment to find out what is going on. The officer in question, Major Curtis, is revered by his men and is a decorated career soldier with an enviable record from the first Gulf War. Tom can't find anything wrong other than Curtis organizing a petition and if truth be told, he actually takes a liking to him. In the civilian world, there's the threat of a major transportation strike across the UK just as a shipment of toxic uranium waste is being transported across England to the port of Dover. What they don't realize is that Major Curtis has his own plans for that shipment. Meanwhile, Harry Pearce learns of Tom's love affair with CIA agent Christine Dale and orders him to put an end to it.—garykmcd
