Papandrao is victimized by Bob who uses the old, "I Thought We Were Just Goofing Around" excuse. She explains her personality very clearly when she talks about what one is often forced to do in a man's world. Other significant things is Ehrlich, resisting being on the OBGYN floor, is put to the test. Westphall takes pity on a woman who was tortured in El Salvadore and escaped to the US. Talk about topical even though this was 27 years ago. He hires her as his housekeeper and deals with the wounds she received during her plight. Fiscus faces the horrors of homelessness when a man he barely knew comes under his care, clinging to life.
