Will describes the case he's working on as an investigation of missile silos not firing at perceived missiles from North Korea, which turned out to be meteors. The nuclear missiles in these silos are not anti-missile batteries.
Will mentions the missile base being at 'DEFCON Delta'. This is a mix up of the DEFCON levels of alert readiness (which use numbers 1 to 5, with 1 equating imminent nuclear war) and the FPCON (former THREATCON) terrorist threat system (which goes from NORMAL and ALPHA to DELTA).

While speaking to the Russian President, President Bartlet states that an "unmanned B UAV drone" crashed somewhere inside Kaliningrad. He then goes on to say that it was "taking satellite pictures of coastal erosion in the Baltic Sea." UAV drones are low altitude aircraft, like an airplane is, and do not take satellite photos. Satellite photos are taken by satellites in high Earth orbit, located thousands of miles into space., not drone-type UAVs. The President would know this.
