Excellent

This episode is fantastic. Not only does it show the best duologue and development of character and relationships on the program, but the skewering of the Dr. Laura character was well done. It's not about what faith you believe in, it's a bout how seriously you take yourself. Sorkin presents the clear message that whether you're Muslim or Christian, you can't go around calling people infidels or abomination. If you're going to cherry pick from you're sacred text, why do you have to pick the most negative parts? The part where they all meet with Josh is particularly moving. Sorkin has that perfect mix of funny and serious that you only really see on Scrubs. Not that the shows are similar, but they have stylistic similarities. This episode was a good refrain from the drama of the first and second episode of this season.

THE WEST WING: SEASON 2, EPISODE 3: The Midterms Directed by: Alex Graves Written by: Aaron Sorkin

Another incredible episode of West Wing which ends with such a standout Bartlett moment where the challenge or church and state is discussed in only the knowledgable way Bartlett could discuss it. (1/3)

Another fun detail of this episode is the sitting upon a stoop that we find the team members doing at the end. The team dynamics are always so strong on this show and even when Josh is not at the White House he is still a valuable and important member of the team. (2/3)

The episode was certainly a heavy talking one but I find so much of it thrilling like the best of West Wing episodes. (3/3)

That moment...and then a superb moment around it

We all remember THE Bartlet moment from this episode. The superb monologue. But a fantastic episode touching continuously on crucial West Wing tropes and topics surrounds it. Top five WW episode.

Excellent episode. Exposes Fundie Hypocrisy

Warning: Spoilers
Jed Bartlet does an excellent job of showing the hypocrisy rooted in the religious-right. He's a Xian himself (except to the religious-right who typically believes Catholics aren't REALLY Xians), knows the Bible inside & out, clearly understands it well and dresses down the Bible thumping cherry picker. It was beautiful.

I really love the ending

When everyone is sitting on the stoop and just shooting the breeze it's amazing! I love what Josh says to Toby, could be referring to do many things and likewise Toby's response
