Marianne Jean-Baptiste: Vivian Johnson
Quotes
-
Vivian Johnson : Where are you?
Jack Malone : Dropping the kids off at school. What's up?
Vivian Johnson : A school bus went missing in Armonk.
Jack Malone : A bus?
Vivian Johnson : Uh-huh. It was headed to the high school, never made it. Nobody's seen it.
Jack Malone : How many kids?
Vivian Johnson : At least ten. We're headed over there now.
Jack Malone : All right, I'm on my way.
-
Mrs. Suarez : Here are all the files you asked for.
Vivian Johnson : Is there anything in there that I should keep an eye on? I mean, have you had any trouble with any of the students?
Mrs. Suarez : You'll find a file in here on Doug and Richard Carrol. They were both suspended for the final week of school at the end of last year.
Vivian Johnson : What for?
Mrs. Suarez : They set off a few smoke bombs in the halls. The fire alarms went off, we had to evacuate everyone.
Vivian Johnson : And how did they react when you suspended them?
Mrs. Suarez : Well, Richard doesn't say much, but Doug was pretty aggravated.
[flashback sequence]
Vivian Johnson : And you discussed this with their parents?
Mrs. Suarez : Their father. Their mother died four years ago.
Vivian Johnson : And?
Mrs. Suarez : Mr. Carrol said he would handle it at home.
Vivian Johnson : And you left it at that?
Mrs. Suarez : There was nothing in their actions that told me they were violent. There are two ways to be a school principal now. You can be an alarmist, or you can try to deal specificially with each child. I choose the latter.
-
Bob Carroll : You want to search my home?
Jack Malone : Well, if your sons are involved in this somehow, we want to know what they were doing.
Bob Carroll : My sons are not involved.
Vivian Johnson : Then there's no harm is us searching their rooms.
Bob Carroll : No. I think you should spend your time and your resources in a more effective way.
Jack Malone : [he shuts the door in their faces] Everybody's an expert.
Vivian Johnson : I bet he's searching their rooms as we speak.
Jack Malone : Yeah, I bet.
-
Laura Randall : That's my daughter's shoe.
Jack Malone : Are you sure?
Laura Randall : Yes.
Tech Agent : Then here's the only voice.
[playing the file]
Tech Agent : The voice is too far away to isolate it.
Vivian Johnson : Can we get rid of some of that echo?
Tech Agent : Not with the way it was transmitted.
Laura Randall : Can't we send her a message of some kind?
Jack Malone : No, not without risking the phone ringing and giving her away.
-
Vivian Johnson : There are no bus seats.
Jack Malone : I don't think they're on the bus anymore. The way they're all huddled together like that, they're in some kind of enclosed space.
-
Vivian Johnson : None of the parents recognize him.
Samantha Spade : So what's going on with the ransom?
Vivian Johnson : The parents are gonna pay. The drop is set for tomorrow morning.
-
Vivian Johnson : [watching Jack while survelling the ransom drop] Well, he certainly looks as if he's old enough to have teenage kids.
Danny Taylor : Definitely having a hard time with that bag.
Vivian Johnson : He says he's been working out. I guess $5 million weighs a lot.
