Lynda Carter flexes her vocal talents by singing a couple songs, one from her solo record album "Portrait". The music centered episode also spoofed then current artists by having the Judge Reinhold and Sarah Purcell characters resemble the group Captain & Tennille and showing the Kiss look-alike band "AntiMatter".
Along with Springfield, there was another actual musical talent in this episode. One of the members of the trio was Mike Botts, a founding member of the 70s soft-rock supergroup Bread. He was the guy with the mustache.
Rick Springfield appears as a rock musician in a Kiss-like band; replete with white makeup. A few years later, Springfield would hit it big with the song "Jessie's Girl" his 1981. Springfield was also in Zoot, a rock band, from 1969 to 1971, much like his character.
The recording studio seen in this episode is Sunset Sound, still located on the corner of Sunset Blvd. and Cherokee Rd in Hollywood. Lynda Carter's first album, "Portrait," was recorded there. Sunset Sound is where such stars as Annette Funicello, the Beach Boys, The Doors, Elton John, and The Rolling Stones were produced, mixed and/or recorded.
