This predictable story was enjoyable enough
kfo94949 December 2015
In a rather simple plot, a young man, Davey Harper, comes to the town of Black Creek to revenge the death of his father by the gun of Big Jim Morrison. All this took place many years ago and now Big Jim (Ernest Borgnine) is a father and wants nothing to do with killing. But it seems that Davey Harper is set to make Big Jim fight.

Big Jim avoids fighting to the point where even his boy thinks he is a coward. But when Davey kills Jim's friend it looks like the gunfight that Davey wants will finally take place.

The show was not the most exciting episode of the lot but it did have some good moments. Any time we get to watch Mr Borgnine at work, it is a pleasure all to itself. Even though the program ended in a very predictable manner, there was enough material to make for an enjoyable watch.

At last an interesting and unusual topic

That's for me the first episode so far which is Worth watching in this series. Because you have not really here a bad guy vs good guy scheme. Who is the bad guy? This Young man seeking revenge against the one who killed his pa? Or the assassin who killed in a fair fight? In this kind of scheme, no matter the ending. It reminded ma Henry King's THE GUNFIGHTER.
