Have you checked the children?

Warning: Spoilers
A special Halloween episode from 40 years ago, and kind of a precursor to When a Stranger Calls, Halloween (of course), Scream, I Know What You Did Law Summer, Saw and Human Centipede.

The episode ain't that scary but still, it's lots of fun, although not on the same level as the Community Halloween episodes.

THE ENDING IS THE BEST.... WATCH THIS ONE!
tcchelsey22 May 2022
Jerry London was the perfect director for this classic episode, who at the time was also directing the PARTRIDGE FAMILY and LOVE, AMERICAN STYLE. He got his start on HOGANS HEROES.

Now that's experience!

FRIGHT NIGHT was and still is a lotta fun to watch. And, to tell ya'll the truth, something all us teens were up to back in the day --good at scaring everybody, right?

Its brothers versus sisters as to who can scare each other out of their jeans! This is a well written episode, and with a lot of tried and true stuff. And this is so relatable because in the 70s, all us kids grew up on the old reruns of Dracula and Frankenstein (remember there was no cable, no lap tops, nothing!) -- even when it wasn't Halloween! How did we survive?

There are some good scenes here, but the best of the best has to be the statue head -- in the dark with Alice?? She thinks some ghoul is sitting in the living room??? Alice was the best. Laugh out loud stuff.

Gots to be seen. Remember those Friday nights with pizza! SEASON 3 dvd box set.

One of the best of the Bradys!
GroovyDoom6 November 2006
Warning: Spoilers
"Fright Night" is one of the best of the Bradys for a number of reasons. First off, it involves all of the family, including Alice. As usual, she's made to look like a buffoon, which those of us who are tuned in to the subtle meanness directed towards Alice in this show will immediately recognize.

Next, it features everybody's stereotypical characterizations on the show. Mike sermonizes everybody not once, not twice, but THREE times. Carol is pursuing a hobby of sculpting, which proves once again that she's not only got time to be a fabulous mother to six children, but she also has time to go to art classes (thanks to workhorse Alice).

The kids annoy one another as usual, but this is one of those episodes where it's "boys vs. girls". That is, until everybody gangs up on Alice, causing her to freak out and smash Mrs. Brady's lovingly created plaster bust of her hubby.

Another remarkable thing about this episode is that it gives us a rare glimpse of the Brady attic, a room that didn't often figure into the story until much later in the series, when Greg and Marcia faced off about who would claim the attic as a bedroom.

What Brady fan could forget the classic moments from this episode, like the plastic dry cleaner bag "ghost" rising up out of the old trunk? Or Marcia's ghostly disembodied voice moaning "Air! I need air! I must rise and walk the night!"? And Carol bellyaching about the kids using her "good sheets" for their makeshift ghost to scare Alice?
