At the start, Doc and Sprocket are about to eat breakfast when Doc gets the idea to sew a button on a fried egg. It then cuts to Mokey writing in her diary, presumably at the end of the day. The rest of the story her recounting what happened to her over the last few days. Yet when Gobo goes to fetch his Uncle Matt's postcard in a scene set in the past, Doc is working on his fried egg project, and mentions he can't get it out of his mind. Then, after Mokey has finished her story and is back in the present day, we cut back to Doc who has been so busy he forgot to give Sprocket his breakfast.
