After about a month of taking in what the WWE Network has to offer I thought we could take a look at some of the things that are worth your time on there, and even just to pick up on DVD. Every PPV event from WWE(F), WCW and Ecw is included on the on-demand section of the network, which means there is hundreds of shows and thousands of hours worth of wrestling to dig through, so I wanted to whittle it down to ten shows that I feel are worth watching, and the reasons will be highlighted too.
Let’s begin with an obvious one shall we?
WWE: WrestleMania 1
Held in Madison Square Garden in New York City, the very first WWF pay-per-view ever presented and a show that lit the fuse on the rocket that became sports entertainment and the concept of pay-per-view. The show isn’t...

With Extreme Rules on the horizon, it seems kind of strange to have a show title that conjures up ideas and visuals of blood and violence in an age of WWE programming that is so opposed to ethos. So, I wanted to take a look back and talk about some of the best and most extreme matches from the vaults of the WWE, and most of them you can find on You Tube or various DVD box-sets.
To be clear, I have excluded many gimmick matches like Cage, Hell in a Cell etc. They can compose a number of different lists all together. But, I have opened this up to include hardcore, falls count anywhere or anything else that involves weapons or outside area spots, as these matches are often very much the same idea. And, the list is drawn from the WWE/WWF product not Ecw, WCW etc. If...

John Cena may be back in the WWE title hunt come September.
Last night during WWE Raw, WWE ran several ads for the forthcoming September Night of Champions pay-per-view on September 16th in Boston that certainly teased that Cena would be challenging for the WWE Title.
The voiceover said;
“John Cena returns to his hometown of Boston to try and re-capture championship glory.”
Cena has not been in the WWE title hunt since WWE Vengeance last October but has continued to main event most of the pay-per-views he has since been in. Given it’s Cena, he is probably due a feud for the title and with WWE Night of Champions coming from his hometown, it is safe to assume WWE is planning something big for him there.
As for who will be WWE Champion by then, it has been reported recently that Cm Punk vs The Big Show has...

After the WWE Raw taping on Saturday night comes the WWE Smackdown taped show from Mexico City. Here’s our report;
Show starts with WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio talking up a historic SmackDown but he isn’t in the mood for competing tonight. Cue Teddy Long who says he will wrestle tonight against The Big Show in a non-title contest!
1) Non Title-Match – WWE World Champion Mark Henry defeated John Morrison
Henry won with the World’s Strongest Slam.
Teddy Long announces the match we all expected for Vengeance as Christian vs. Sheamus is announced. Strangely he also said Zack Ryder would wrestle Dolph Ziggler for the U.S. Title at Vengeance, which means the WWE Tag Titles match announced on Raw for the PPV (that was Air Boom vs. Ziggler & Swagger) must either have changed or Ziggler is doing double duty.
2) Wade Barrett defeated Daniel Bryan in what was...

This week’s WWE Raw comes from Mexico City but is actually a taped show that went ahead last night. Here’s the full report we have;
John Laurinaitis kicked off the show with an interview, talking about the firing of Jim Ross. Apparently the situation is that because an incredible amount of viewers switched off last week after the firing segment that they want to capitalise and make it an angle.
Incredibly, for the first main event at Raw live in Mexico, it was announced that John Cena & Jim Ross vs. Alberto Del Rio & Michael Cole would be the main event! Yes Cole vs. Ross in the main event before WWE Vengeance. WCW may have died ten years ago but far too much of it’s legacy lives on in current WWE booking.

Post-match Orton vs. Rhodes brawl and also Christian vs.
