It wasn't until October of 2005 that it was publicly discovered that Roger Watkins directed Shadows of the Mind, under the pseudonym "Bernard Travis".
Roger Watkins wasn't satisfied with "Shadows of the Mind" and in 1980 he directed a film called "Spitoon", which was a fictionalized account of Shadow's troubled production. However, he disliked the final result so much that he destroyed the negative. No copies were ever made.
