Pretty good! "Chopper One" is starting to get its legs here.

8 or 9 episodes into the series, we get one of the better stories from "Chopper One". Sure, it's a bit rushed, and a bit artificial, but with a kidnapping and a planned shooting, it's very engaging.

A great list of co-stars includes Lloyd Buchner, Frank Marth, and Norman Alden. Each of those gentlemen plays their somewhat limited part quite well.

Like most of the "family oriented" cop shows of the 1970's, it's neat and clean. The pretty boy cops have perfect haircuts and tailored uniforms, and the violence is minimized.

The plot gives some backstory about Mitch the Mechanic (actor Lou Frizell); and we meet his devoted wife Ruth (actress Dana Hansen). In the scene in the breakroom, the Chopper Cops are envious of Mitch's home-cooked square meal prepared by Ruth, vs. Their vending machine sandwiches.

One complaint about Chopper One (every show, including this one), is that the opening sequence (before the title music plays) has nothing to do with the main story. The writers could have / should have used that time slot for more character development, more setup for the kidnapping and the assassination attempt.

Overall, "Killing Time" is a watchable and entertaining show.

I rate this episode of Chopper One 9 stars!
