Three ghosts start their own business to discredit the guys; for a show touting itself "The Real Ghostbusters", I love that that's how they kick off the series.
And a solid opening it is, with the ECTO-1 flying down the nighttime streets of New York City to a job (nice animation here). It lays out the fundamentals The good-natured foursome, hapless Slimer) and has its own quirks; it's a good idea enlarging the containment unit, but the character models are mystifying . . . then again, this is just something you accept about this show; it ends up being woven into the fabric.
Bottom line, this is an assured start to a franchise-defining TV show.
