Rails & Ties is a superb movie

Every once in a while you come across a picture perfect movie, and this is one of those rare finds. After I was done watching this terrific movie I sat back and tried to think of one thing I didn't like about it or something I would change, and absolutely nothing came to mind. Although this movie is a real tear-jerker, it is just a great story, wonderfully directed, and the acting is top-notch. Frankly, I have never seen Kevin Bacon is such fine form as in this flick; he really missed his calling as a serious actor. His demeanor and style in this movie are so, so understated and just breath-taking. Mind you, I never, ever thought I would be saying this about Mr. Bacon, but these accolades are well-deserved for his fine, fine performance in this utterly exceptional movie. Marcia Gay Harden utterly owned her part in this movie, and Miles Heizer simply burst off of the screen with clarity and sincerity. If you are tired of mindless fluff, then treat yourself to a movie with substance --- Rails & Ties will really touch your heart.
