At the third crime scene the killer leaves the lower leg (knee to ankle) of Tucci. However, when Dexter finds Tucci in the hospital basement his lower leg is clearly attached and bandaged.
When Doakes chases the car with the thugs in it from in front of his house, a car with its four-way flashers going can be seen just up the street from where the thugs were parked. As Doakes pulls in, that car does not have flashers going.
When the picture is taken, Dexter's teeth are not visible, but the picture in the photo album shows he has a bigger smile where his teeth are visible.
In describing the anatomical location of the cut which severed Tony Tucci's foot, Dexter says it was "severed between the tarsus and the metatarsus" when it was clearly through the distal end of tibia and fibula.
When commenting on the hand found on the beach, Dexter says the cut was made between the first and second row of carpals, but the cut is made through the ulna and the radius. Later, as Dexter studies the hand's computer-image, the two bones are clearly shown at the cut.
When Dexter is looking at photos of his past, and turns over the picture of himself and Harry outside the "Angel of Mercy Hospital" to reveal the smiley face left by the Ice Truck Killer, the photo was printed on HP photo paper, i.e. it is a digital print. However, it is entirely possible that the photo Dexter is holding is a copy of the original photo which makes it plausible that the HP paper would be used.
The cooler used to hold the camera on the beach when Harry is taking a picture of the family was a Coleman 5 Day, which weren't available at the time.
Just after Rita finishes doing whatever she did for Dexter; and just as he finishes saying the word "unexpected" a half a ring of a telephone is heard.
When Rita's kids get out of Dexter's car, a mic pack is visible on the daughter, and again when they're standing at the door.
In the scene when Dexter finds a homeless man on the street, none of the palm trees seen in the background grow in South Florida.
