this is really badly made

this movie is a rare hard to find pile of trash i would much rather watch films like Mr. jingles (2006) or voodoo curse: the giddeh (2006) than this movie and that says a lot because those two movies are not that great either. I was actually surprised when i found this movie was made as as recently as 2006, i thought it would have been made in the 1990's because of bad picture quality and the effects and props

i hate this movie because of the following reasons

the effects are cheap and outdated

the acting is okay

the filming and cinematography is god awful

the sound quality is pretty bad

there is outdated and cheap props

and the picture quality is pretty bad

Top seven things that are wrong with this movie:

1.)I bought it at the Dollar Store.

2.)The acting was atrocious. I think the worst scene was when she stabbed the turkey/chicken because she thought it was coming alive.

3.)The sex scene was beyond terrible. It lasted around four seconds and there was no emotion involved. It looked like a bad high school play that no one bothered to memorize their lines to.

4.)Oh, before I forget: the beginning of the movie where she births an alien from her vagina is just horrid.

5.)The part where Jenny is trying to get away after stabbing Todd with a pencil, in the arm, might I add, and he begins limping away makes me want to throw my remote at the f***ing TV screen.

6.)I wasted a dollar and eight cents on this movie. I could have thrown that dollar at a stripper on stage.

7.)The time I wasted watching this movie, I could have gotten a college degree.

I would not recommend anyone waste their time watching this movie. There are much better things to do.

see this movie!! you won't regret it!!

It is rare to see an independent movie made and get the recognition it deserves. This movie is full of surprises and unexpected details, which takes lots of hard work and dedication from the all those involved in the process. This film maker is passionate about what he does and it shows through in this movie. Support artists (writers, actors, special effects, editing, sound) and you will notice the craftmanship involved in this movie. See this movie,you won't regret it!!!! The special effects and acting skills are really impressive. And to top it off, the story will have you thinking for next couple of days, and you won't be able to get the images out of your head!!

I recommend checking this movie out. Yes it's an indie, low budget flick on the surface, but what it may lack in Hollywood Glitz is made up in substance with an interesting, original story that's nicely portrayed by a well chosen cast. It's an enjoyable movie with a lot of little twists and turns that keep you wondering what's going to happen next and how it will end. These guys chose to put the emphasis on telling a good story and keeping your interest unlike most indie movies I've seen. Kansas Carradine, in my opinion, is Hollywood Royalty. She comes from an acting family that has entertained the world for decades and she does a wonderful job in Rapid Eye Movement. They couldn't have cast a better star.

In a world where Hollywood special effects and pretentious "pretty" actors rule the screen with no content, finally a film is made with intelligence, substance and meaning. A picture that makes you reflect on the subject matter and really think weeks after you've seen it. Yes, this film had no budget. Yes, it's picture image is grainy. Yes, it wasn't shot on 35mm film. But boy did it blow me away! It starts off with characters that are real. A depressed guy about to marry a girl. He doesn't care about the wedding. The girl is so stressed out by the wedding she starts having nightmares. The guy (Todd) cares more about his wannabe writing career than his fiancée and, on a whim, he writes down her dreams, submits it to a friend who works at a Talent Agency and they next thing you know, he sees a window of opportunity to jump start his career. When Jenny starts taking medication to stop the nightmares, Todd gives her a placebo to keep that story material coming for his all American Novel. Arguably one of the coolest plots for a movie I've ever heard. Congrats to the filmmakers for their originality and vision. I admire their passion and creativity. Can't wait for the next one.

One of the better low budget films I have seen...

A lot of low budget films are pretentious and annoying. Slow paced movies about some woman running around a beach representing freedom. A waste of 120 minutes. This film is farthest from. While the production value looks like a grainy 16mm film, the plot and character development is excellent. I usually get bored in low budget films and fall asleep. I did not get bored for one second when watching this one. It held my attention the whole way through. I thought the acting was really good. As a woman, I really felt connected to the main character. It addresses issues of spousal physical and mental abuse. Also, I never would have guessed the ending. You can tell the filmmakers put their heart and soul into this one. If you're into low budget movies, this is a fun little gem. If you like movies like GAS LIGHT and MISERY, you'll like this one.

REM surprises

Really a wonderful change from the usually hum drum plots. Moved along and delivered. The indie, low budget was obvious but did not detract. It was well worth the suspense invested and gave a good satisfaction ending. I would like to see more from these writers in the future..... with a bigger budget for improved production values. A fun, nail bitter; the viewer will appreciate. The score/sound was supportive but not intrusive. Overall, a good pick. My wife felt the same way as I did about this movie which certainly surprised me since she avoids terror, suspense and edge of your seat flicks. Would like to see it again to appreciate dialog more.

I don't know what some of the "critics" of this film have been smoking, but I don't want none of that. They be expecting Citizen Kane and this movie isn't Citizen Kane, but I like the twists and turns of this movie. I thought some of the special effects were crappy, but what do you expect from a low budget movie. I probably would have gotten rid of some of the special effects because some of them are laughable, but movies like this are not watched for the special effects, but for the script and directing angles. Give it a break. I love these people who bash a movie when they can't do any better. See this movie, not for the special effects, but for the twists, the directing, and even some of the acting is good.

Good Low Budget Film

Frankly, it does not deserve the low rating it has on here. Keep in mind it's a low-budget independent film and obviously will not come with the frills of a studio movie. It is a good story and interesting to see on film, and there are certain creative twists to the presentation, such as the quick shots of the special effects. I like the theme in the ending, where the friend who speaks up in defense of the girlfriend (Carradine) ends up with her, but is just as evil as the original boyfriend. That's real - people have their own agenda and will use any means to justify an end. The acting is also fairly good throughout the film, with a few notable exceptions.

awesome unexpected ending, One of those stories that everybody can relate to in some way. where you have to do something and think about doing the unthinkable to get it done. what would you do if you know something that would destroy your best friends life if the wrong people knew about it. Would you stop him even if it meant it would destroy everything. How long can you stand to be so close to what you want before madness blows up. special effects were simple and effective leading lady was beautiful, David Carridine's daughter. great casting, everybody was believable. Alex Tuckman tells a great story. cant wait for his next project. looking forward to seeing it at the festivals

The best independent film that i ever saw.Its definitely a must see movie.I loved Kansas Carradine in this film.She did a wonderful job.The actors worked so well together.They had a lot of chemistry.This movie is like a nicer version of silence of the lambs.I loved how Carradine was captured and taken out of her will for her nigthmares.I love how the actors played their roles in the film so well.This movie made me feel that something like this could happen.It is a possibility.It keeps you thinking whats next and makes you want more.Its hard to stop watching its so interesting.I definitely loved this movie and i recommend this movie to everyone.
