Laurence Haddon: Franklin Horner

Quotes

  • [J.R. drinking. Franklin reads the manual]

Franklin Horner : I don't know what you're looking so worried about. You know as well as I do, your figures and your projections are as solid as steel.

J.R. Ewing : Then your bank won't have any trouble arranging this loan?

Franklin Horner : Well, the Cattleman's Bank can't swing it all alone but we'll pull in the right partners without any trouble. You just leave it to us.

J.R. Ewing : Well, all we have to do now is get that Barnes woman off the dime.

Franklin Horner : A delicate situation, huh?

J.R. Ewing : Hmm. She's attaching a sense of loyalty to this thing. Sell, I guess I am too.

Franklin Horner : I can't imagine anyone turning down an offer the size of the one you're making. Along with all her other assets, she'll be one of the wealthiest people in the state. In the country, for that matter.

J.R. Ewing : Well, can you imagine her getting this far? There's just no accounting for some things. You sure you're not gonna have that drink?

Franklin Horner : I'm afraid my drinking days are over. Thanks, anyway, J.R.

J.R. Ewing : Trying to tell me you're getting old?

Franklin Horner : I'm trying to tell you I wanna get old. Give my best to Miss Ellie and the family, will you, J.R.?

    J.R. Ewing : I will. Goodnight.

    Franklin Horner : Goodnight.

[Franklin leaves the door and bids goodnight. J.R. looks are the picture of Sue Ellen]
