Excellent Documentary
Globo43610 September 2006
Muy impresionante. In the US this would be a "Dateline NBC" or "60 minutes" kind of film, but Pineyro (who starred and directed in the semi-autobiographical "Whisky, Tango, Zulu" about being a whistle blower in the badly run airline LAPA) creates a chilling scenario of the poor state of Argentina's civil aviation, and puts the blame on the Air Force. He claims it is the only country in the world in which the air force has this control. Two days after the film came out, the government announced major changes and took the points made in the film constructively. Pineyro convincingly tells the story himself, with diagrams, interviews, hidden cameras, and a few props (he spills out a bag of plastic airplanes and equates it to the number of planes the air force has lost). Not a glossy, high budget film (Argentine films generally aren't), but clearly a film that makes a clear statement and is having its impact felt throughout the entire country. Bravo, Enrique.

A rare gem in Argentine's movies

This is absolutely the best documentary film ever made in Argentina, and it is not politically biased. Director Piñeyro is a pilot and a highly informed man. His greatest merit is that despite all the technical issues that arouse throughout the movie, he keeps matters crystal clear. This is not a negative film - although being an Argentine it shocks me the amount of corruption I saw -, there are proposals to correct things and to lead to solutions. Unlike others like journalist Lanata - who is always very comfortable criticizing without investigating - director Piñeyro is very well documented and he lived the problems he is storytelling. He had the courage to confront the corrupted military system live on TV many times. This film had forced Argentine's President to announce big changes in Aeronautics. I admit that we still don't know if those changes will be accomplished, but I have no doubt that men like Piñeyro won't let him easily elude his duties. ¡Bravo!

Warning: Spoilers
Even thought "FUERZA AEREA SOCIEDAD ANONIMA" is a documentary, the effects that it caused on me were more similar to those from a terror movie. Due to my activities I normally stop once or twice a year at Ezeiza Airport. I might consider an alternative route! The irregularities and "plain corruption" - as described by Piñeyro - shown during this film are showed along with documents that support them. I must say that the director / producer, Piñeyro is extremely brave to make public his research, which have already caused several effects in Argentina… To sum up, whether you like frightening movies or documentaries from the discovery channel, you will like this film. Shall the truth set you free… Thank you Piñeyro.

A real approach to Argentina's flying circus, and why accidents happens there
walteralini26 November 2006
This film showed why several plane accidents have been occurred in Argentina land. By the 90's, two important plane accidents occurred in Argentina: several people died and investigations never reached a solid point. This is a proof, not a film, and you must watch it before traveling to Argentina. The film's author was a plane pilot who had lived in the mafia scene for several years, and knows how pilots' life are. Argentina's air traffic is controlled by the Aereal Force, and the author tries to explain why this must not continue in that way. By hidden cameras, we take in consideration how people in Ezeiza Airport work, and how they complain about this situation. It's a really good film, nice treated in a good information recompilation.
