Harry is a worried man, tired, undervalued, feeling that society has forgotten him, quite literally, he feels as though his very being, his presence is vanishing from the world.
Victor Maddern manages to inject some spark, some energy into the script, which in all honesty needs it.
There are some interesting concepts, some pretty chilling ideas, the execution however, was a little lacking. I felt like they had some really good ideas, and some moments were somewhat disturbing, but it was too repetitive.
It's interesting to see the way in which mental health was handled at the time, Harry clearly suffering from depression had no avenues, just met with frustration from all around him.
I'm sure the writer Brian Phelan was trying to raise an issue, to make several points over the state of society at the time, but once again it's a slightly frustrating watch.
The ending when it came, was a huge surprise, a totally shocking and unexpected moment, Harry pushed to extremes, that he felt that was the only way he could get himself noticed.
That neighbour up at the window, she was someone you'd cross the street to avoid, a good character though.
6/10.
