This past weekend the new Joss Whedon-scripted film In Your Eyes, directed by Brin Hill (Ball Don't Lie) premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and immediately after the screening the film was made available around the world online with a special announcement from Whedon himself (see video below). Starring Zoe Kazan, Michael Stahl-David, Nikki Reed, Mark Feuerstein, Jennifer Grey and Steve Howey the film is set amidst the frozen East Coast winter. Rebecca (Kazan) is withering away in a life of cocktail parties and lonely nights as the sheltered, soft-spoken wife of a successful doctor. Across the country in sun-drenched, arid New Mexico, charismatic ex-con Dylan (Stahl-David) is struggling to find his footing and a fresh start. When these polar opposites realize they share an inexplicable connection, a unique metaphysical romance begins. In preparation for the worldwide release, the film is being released with Spanish, German, Portuguese, French and...

Seemingly no longer content with making T.V. shows for Fox to cancel, Joss Whedon (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Firefly) is returning to the big screen in a big way in 2012. First up is horror The Cabin In The Woods, a movie he co-wrote, produced and actually finished production in 2009. After that is his low budget adaption of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. Oh yeah, and something called The Avengers. Now he has another movie on the horizon with 'metaphysical love story' In Your Eyes. Based on a script by Whedon, the film will be directed by Brin Hill (Ball Don't Lie). The story follows two people, a man in New Mexico and a woman in Connecticut, who share a deep connection, and are able to hear and see each other, even though they have never met. The film stars Michael Stahl-David and Zoe Kazan. Source: Deadline...

Abigail Spencer, perhaps best known for playing Don Drapers mistress on "Mad Men," is in negotiations to star in In Your Eyes, a "supernatural romance" that Joss Whedon wrote and is producing, reports THR. Few details are known about the story, but it "centers on two people who are preternaturally or supernaturally connected, despite being polar opposites." Details are slim, but look for more as casting continues. More soon!

It doesn't sound like Joss Whedon and wife Kai Cole will be taking that 20-year wedding anniversary trip to Italy any time soon. Only a little more than a week after they wrapped filming on their adaptation of "Much Ado About Nothing," Whedon announced that they'll be tackling another movie soon using their production company Bellwether Pictures. This one, a supernatural romance called "In Your Eyes," will be directed by Brin Hill off of a script Whedon has written.
Deadline is reporting that "In Your Eyes" is a metaphysical love story about two "seemingly polar opposites who are deeply connected in ways neither could have imagined." It will be the second film created under Bellwether Pictures' banner. Casting has yet to start, and it's unclear if Whedon will call upon his regular troupe of actors again for this film like he did for "Much Ado About Nothing."

Having tied the knot twice since their wedding on April 30, 2008, Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are planning to exchange wedding vows for the third time. "We get married every year! That's our thing," Nick told Us Magazine at Monday's PepsiCo Feed America Volunteer Day event in New York City.
"It's going to be our third wedding this year," the host of "America's Got Talent" explained further about plan for their second wedding anniversary celebration. He added, "That's what we'll be doing on the actual [anniversary]... We'll do something... A party or event, just to celebrate."
Although stating that they just want to celebrate, the "Love Don't Cost a Thing" actor admitted that like their previous wedding anniversary, he will give the "Thank God I Found You" singer another bling. Asked whether or not he's going to give her a diamond ring on their upcoming ceremony, he confirmed, "That's totally right."

I'd been acting for many years, and had reached the point where something had to give. Not only was the pavement pounded—it was ground to a fine powder. I was willing to make one last big effort, and go out with a bang, so to speak. More like the Big Bang—giving birth to something huge—than "Bang Bang, You're Dead." Making a feature film could be just that: One that I wrote and in which I appeared as the lead. I've made some short films. Now I'd finally written a feature-length screenplay, "The Things We Carry." I hadn't intended to write such a personal story. It started out as one thing, and by the time I was done with it—years later—it had morphed from a narrative casually influenced by my experiences to one that was unequivocally inspired by my life. While there's still plenty of fictionalization and dramatization,...
