Better than usual look behind a movie
SimonJack1 February 2019
This 12-minute video short was made by Paramount as a bonus to go with the 2006 DVD release of "The Dead Zone." It has interviews with the main crew members who worked on the film.

David Cronenberg directed the movie and talked about the project. Mark Irwin discussed his camera work. He and Rod Sanders had praise for Cronenberg's directing. He specializes in horror and sci-fi films.

The only actors interviewed are Brooke Adams who played Sara Bracknell and Martin sheen who played Greg Stillson. Sheen gives a philosophical overview of the sad state of American society. He especially notes the widespread moral decline in the culture.

As a behind-the-scenes documentary on a film, "The Politics of 'The Dead Zone'" is better than the usual product. Those who like to learn more about the making of films should find this interesting.
