Little Britain: Live
jboothmillard6 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
With the huge success of the television series, it was almost impossible to think of Little Britain without a live tour. David Walliams and Matt Lucas brought us many of their most popular characters from the show onto stage with great speed in dressing and preparations. The characters they brought along included favourites Lou and Andy, Sebastian and The Prime Minister (Special Guest Anthony Head, but the one we saw had Lucas in his place), Vicky Pollard, Mr. Mann and shopkeeper Roy, Kenny Craig, Judy and Maggie (pukers), Carol Beer (Computer Says No), Marjorie Dawes, Bubbles De Vere, Emily Howard (the crap transvestite) with friend Florence, Dennis Waterman and Jeremy Rent, and of course, Daffyd Thomas (the only gay in the village, apparently) in a great musical finale. You would be insane to miss this show, I even saw it on stage! I must admit though seeing it on DVD is no way as good as seeing them in reality, especially when it was my 18th birthday. In fact, we were lucky to get third row Bournemouth International Centre's theatre, my Mum was even pointed and joked to by Marjorie Dawes, the coincidence was another Sheila (her name) was pointed before her, so she called her "Fat Sheila", and ended with "I've seen some fatties in my time, but you are something else." Very good!

Very offensive and gross---and exactly what fans of the TV show want!
planktonrules23 April 2013
WARNING: This show is in very bad taste and is NOT recommended for children!! "Little Britain" is a very crude show and it's certainly not a program you would show your kids, your mother-in-law or Father Jenkins. So, not surprisingly, the same could be said for "Little Britain: Live"--though much, much more so. It has a lot of suggestive material--much more than the TV show and it will offend most viewers....except for fans of the show, who will probably love the raunchy antics. As for me, I loved it--the humor was even more extreme and disgusting than usual--so I laughed and enjoyed it. But, at the same time, my wife was completely miserable. She thought, as usual, that the show was just gross and awful! So, I would think that this show is for fans of the show--but probably not for most other people. If you have a high tolerance for gay humor, crude sexual references and vomiting, then you probably have found a new favorite! My favorite in the show? Daffyd, of course--and his show-stopping musical number at the end of the performance.

Should be forgotten
studioAT10 June 2020
I write this on the day after platforms such as Britbox and Netflix have opted to remove 'Little Britain' on grounds of poor taste.

And I quite agree. This is un PC and potentially offensive comedy that has no place in 2020.

It will be consigned to history as a piece very much of its time.
