d Ever since Lena Luthor was introduced as a character in Supergirl Season 2, episodes focusing on her have been some of my absolute favorite hours ever of the series. Though the summer hiatus felt like an eternity, we can now breathe easier with the fall season of DC TV being back in full swing. Not only that, but synopses for episodes set to air during week 5 have now surfaced online, including those for Supergirl and The Flash.
First, on Monday, November 6, corrupt businessman Morgan Edge will once again prove to be a thorn in the side of Supergirl and her cohorts. This time, he’s causing headaches for Lena Luthor by saying that she’s responsible of a string of lead poisonings in National City. If you’ll recall, her involvement in taking down the Daxamite invasion in last spring’s finale by building the lead bomb was crucial, but it sounds like he’ll sow enough doubt in Lena to make her second guess those valiant efforts.

Twentieth Century Fox's remake of the science fiction classic "The Day the Earth Stood Still" unspools into a big 3,560 venues as the widest opener this weekend. The Scott Derrickson ("The Exorcism of Emily Rose") helmed picture is newly screenwritten by David Scarpa based on the Edmund H. North 1951 version. Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly lead the cast which includes Kathy Bates, Jaden Smith, John Cleese, Jon Hamm, Kyle Chandler and Robert Knepper.
