The scene where the Hot Lady gives Peter Davis the come-hither eyes and the man pops up from behind her to warn him off was actually shot during one of the coldest and snowiest days in Tennessee that year. Director Brooks Benjamin only had a very limited time where he could shoot that scene because the very next frame of that shot shows several flakes of snow falling into the shot.
Jason Benjamin makes another, uncredited appearance in the movie during the scene where Peter watches the old tee-ball tape. The actual home video of Brooks' tee-ball team shows his real father as the coach as well as his older brother, Jason Benjamin (Roid). Jason can be seen standing next to his father on the field and frequently acted as assistant coach during the years he and Brooks' father coached little league baseball.
Brad Bumgardner (Murr) had undergone extensive gastrointestinal surgery just before principal photography began. By the time the movie was out of post production and opened for the premiere, Brad had lost over 250 pounds and was barely recognizable as the character, Murr.
The photographs used in the beginning and middle of the movie were actual photographs of director Brooks Benjamin and Jason Benjamin (Roid)'s father. Likewise, the video of Peter Davis playing tee-ball and his dad coaching was a home video of director Brooks Benjamin's team when his dad coached.
