The Making of Home Alone (2006)

*** (out of 4)

This nineteen-minute featurette was made sixteen-years after the actual film and features interviews with Macaulay Culkin, Daniel Stern, John Williams, Chris Columbus as well as various other crew and production members. For the most part this is an entertaining look back at the making of the film, which features current interviews as well as a bunch of behind-the-scenes stuff that was filmed at the time the movie was made. For the most part this is a good featurette, although one wishes that more of the cast had been interviewed. With that said, this is a fun look at the production of the movie as we hear about the casting, the making and of course the eventual release. Fans of the film will certainly love the various bits of footage that were shot on the set.
