Let's step back before we destroy this one....
witster1816 April 2008
Now, we all know that comedy sequels that change actors, and that are made years after the original, are usually disastrous. Ski School 2 ...Caddyshack 2.Dumb and DUmberer...Major League 2. ....I'll stop there before I have bad nightmares. THis movie is actually MUCH better than I expected. Is it great?...NO!.....but it's definitely not horrible. The cast has an adequate group of known funny-men and the acting in general is passable. Doesn't disappoint on the nudity and party front...living up to its' namesake. Most of the humor is dirty.. as are the mojito's and martini's. Ratings wise I'd say it's just shy of the original, but it's worth a view for a guys' night in with a case of brewskies. 54-100

Not bad but also not good

Warning: Spoilers
I had the pleasure of viewing this movie early and I have to say I thought that it was going to be boring and wondered how could they ever improve upon the 1984 version of Bachelor Party starring Tom Hanks, which I thought was pretty good...I was right...In all honesty I thought it could have been better...Sure there were some funny moments but it just didn't seem to hit the mark with me...The acting was OK and the storyline pretty well follows the original but I think it could have been so much better...This movie I'd say is for teens and the young of heart; full of female bodies, alcohol and sex...It's just another typical run of the mill party movie that has been done over and over again. 4/10 is my vote for this one.

Just an excuse to show nudity
Smells_Like_Cheese17 May 2008
Now I recently had the viewing pleasure to watch the hilarious comedy Bachelor Party, one of my new favorite comedies, laughed until it just hurt type of movies. So I naturally wanted to see the sequel, hoping it would have the same laughs, but instead Bachelor Party 2: The Last Temptation is made by the American Pie generation where it's tasteless and defeats the hole purpose of the first film. Yeah, the first film has nudity, but it doesn't show in every single scene. Also the plot is exactly the same from the first, it's not always a complaint with me, but this could have been a little more original. The only thing is that I'm glad that at least no old actors from the original appear in this movie, because it would have been cheesy or really silly looking.

Ron and Melinda are engaged, after only 2 months of dating, everyone is against it. Melinda has a rich family, but they're pretty happy with Ron, and Melinda's brother, Todd is scared that Ron will take his job. So they go out on a weekend to Miami for a bachelor party and Todd is going to make sure that he'll trap Ron into a picture that will make Melinda change her mind about the marriage.

Bachelor Party 2: The Last Temptation has a couple laughs here and there, but over all fails to deliver what the first film accomplished. These guys, Ron's friends, were more obnoxious than likable, except for Seth, he was kinda funny. The only likable characters other than Seth is Ron and Melinda, everyone else just more or less gets on your nerves. You wanna watch this film? Just watch Girls Gone Wild, it's the same thing only it doesn't try to pretend that it's a film. Stick to the original Bachelor Party, that's the movie that's going to get you in tears of laughter.

Not funny at all
Enchorde7 January 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Recap: Ron is about to marry Mel. They are deeply and love and certain they are perfect for each other even though they met just a few months ago. Todd, Ron's brother in law to be is not so happy. He is afraid the marriage is a threat to his cushy job in the family business and decides to arrange Ron's bachelor party. But his real plan is to put Ron in a compromising situation, get evidence and break Ron and Mel up.

Comments: Supposed to be a sequel to a comedy classic but it isn't funny at all. It is mostly a pubertal show and a juvenile excuse to show scantily clad women. Actually, in a way, it is almost impressive have many you can put in there, because they are everywhere. Unfortunately that is also one of the signs of a movie that can't support itself. It simply isn't good enough.

It has three redeeming points though, or actually three actors that is worth a better script than this. It is lead actor Josh Cooke who actually manages to give an impression of some common sense. Sara Foster I know has more talent than to do movies like this, and Emanuelle Vaugier seem to have a lot more talent than this movie.

What is suspiciously absent are good jokes. Actually, bad jokes are rather scarce too. It just isn't funny.

Horrible tasteless movie.
Boba_Fett11387 July 2008
I wonder how much this movie actually has got to do with the 1984 movie "Bachelor Party", starring Tom Hanks. Is this movie even an official sequel? This movie is lacking in every department and you're obviously better off not watching it.

For a comedy this movie simply isn't good or funny enough. It relies mostly on the character's their stereotypical assessments, rather then the movie actually features some good, original and funny moments.

Of course there also is very little story present and the movie nude breast than script pages. You just keep waiting for things to finally start off. There is a main plot line in it somewhere but that one is so terribly unoriginal and gets executed so poorly in the movie that it feels more as if it's something non-existent. I guess there even is a message and moral story in it somewhere but this again is so terribly unoriginal and poorly done in the movie that it simply does not work out.

It's basically a typical teenage comedy, with lots of sex jokes and nudity, only without the teenage main characters, which makes the story all the more sad and tasteless. The movie makes some really wrong jokes, that are misplaced for any type of movie.

I regret ever watching this.

.....and the Jewish saves the movie!!
elo-equipamentos7 June 2018
Forget almost all casting Danny Jacobs as the weird Jewish made a remarkable performance with clean behavior and saves the picture, he was really funny in all scenes, mainly in the whirlpool bath when he stuck the dick in the hole, following with on bath with others odd guest inside, Harland Williams has a fine moments but far away than the Jewish, this sequel made by the same producers of the first one was very regretful over the results, but in general way quite often the sequels are inferior than the originals!!!

Resume:

First watch: 2015 / How many: 2 / Source: DVD / Rating: 6

Try to forget this movie exists
movieman_kev19 April 2008
When I first heard they were doing a sequel to one of my favorite '80's films, Bachelor Party, i was skeptical. When I heard no one from the original would be in it, I thought it blasphemy. When I started watching it & realized they were trying to do a remake, I found it outright heresy!! All the laughs and memorable parts of the original all gone replaced with tired worn-out jokes, lame dialog, and mediocre acting. The plot is the same as the first, guy's getting married, his friends throw him a party, other jealous guy tries to break up the wedding, yada, yada, yada. I hang my head in shame not only because I watched this laugh-free movie (I was tricked by a friend), but also because it exists in the first place. The abundant nudity is the only reason I didn't slip into a coma.

My Grade: F

Eye Candy: Paula LaBaredas, Arianna Coltellacci, Erika Smith , Claudia Costa, Diana Vilskaya, Mariann Gavelo, Dena Carman, Ashley Totin, La Trice Perry, Jennifer Steele all get topless

DVD Extras: Commentary by Director James Ryan and actors Warren Christie, Harland Williams, Danny Jacobs, & Josh Cooke; 18 deleted scenes; Making of featurette; 'Analysis of a stripper fight'; Gag reel, Theatrical trailer, and Trailers for "The Onion Movie", & "In the Name of the King" (another 'winner' *shudders*)

NO
BandSAboutMovies24 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Made 24 years after Bachelor Party and having nothing at all to do with it, this was directed by James Ryan and written by Neal Israel, Pat Proft and Jay Longino from a story by Bob Israel.

Ron (Josh Cooke) is going to marry Melinda (Sara Foster), as long as he makes it through the bachelor party. Her brother Todd (Warren Christie) thinks Ron isn't good enough for his sister, so he makes sure that that party gets Ron in trouble. Maybe he's right, because all of Ron's friends are pretty dumb: the do-nothing Jason (Greg Pitts), nerdy Seth (Danny Jacobs) and three-time marriage failure Derek (Harland Williams).

That said, nice girl dancer Eva (Emmanuelle Vaugier, Addison Corday from Saw II and Saw IV) is really the right girl. But whatever - this movie is so set in its ways. Audrey Landers is the mom, so that's kind of cool, I guess. You could do better and watch her and her sister Judt in Deadly Twins.

I mean, the height of wit in this is that the guys end up sleeping with Aryan strippers. Should I expect anything of a past its expiration sequel to Bachelor Party? Yeah, I should. That movie had not just. Tom Hanks, but Tawny Kitaen, Michael Dudikoff and Ginger Lynn. Come on, Israel and Proft. You guys made, well, Moving Violations and Surf Ninjas. Ah, never mind, Neal. But Pat, you wrote Police Academy, Real Genius and Naked Gun. Come on, dude.

A nice surprise
bastiaan-rook17 July 2008
I thought when i bought this ex-rental DVD, this gonna be a crappy movie, but still enjoyable, and for 3 euros. But when I put it in and was watching it, I really liked it. It was funny, characters where funny. I won't win any prices but an entertaining movie for a night with your friends. But the point people give that movie only is made so they could put nudity in it, is kinda lame. It's also in the 80's one (the nudity). It is part of those kind of movies. Where the nudity is totally useless are in the movies from the makers of epic movie, etc. they put a naked girl in a scene which got not any purpose.

If you like these genre movies, this is a must-have (but only if it cost a few bucks)

Josh Cooke probably won't win two Oscars . . .
charlytully3 January 2009
Warning: Spoilers
. . . but not everyone can be Tom Hanks, title character of 1984's original Bachelor Party. Josh Cooke as the remakes' groom-to-be is pretty much the straight man to everyone else appearing in this farce. However, this is a movie that could have been better had it not chosen to straddle the fence between gross-out comedy (e.g.--its unforgettable poopy diaper splattered on a bowling ball) and erotic comedy (e.g.--two horny guys unknowingly crashing a women's meeting of the Sex Addicts Anonymous group). The DVD has many deleted scenes and extended gags, several of which are as funny as anything in the feature. Too bad the baby potty wasn't confined there.
