Slipping Beauty (1988)
Laurie O'Brien: Piggy
Quotes
-
Piggy : I don't want to be Slipping Beauty, I want to be Sleeping Beauty.
Fozzie : [on the walkie-talkie] That's what I said. She'll step on a banana peel and fall - asleep, forever.
Piggy : Forever?
Fozzie : [as the fairy in the story] Okay, okay. Forever or 'til she's kissed by her true love. Whichever comes first.
Piggy : [looking at Kermit, who is playing the prince] Now that's a nice present!
-
Piggy : [as the little princess] Hmph, this story is beginning to sound more like "Slipping Beauty" than "Sleeping Beauty". Can't we do something about this harp?
-
Nanny : Hi, kids, what are you... Why, Piggy, you don't look well, dear.
Piggy : You can say that again, Nanny.
Nanny : Here, let me take a closer look. Ooh. I'm afraid you might have chicken pox.
Piggy : Chicken bawks?
Nanny : No, chicken pox. It's an illness like mumps or measles.
Kids : Bumps? Moosles?
Nanny : She's sick, kids.
Piggy : But I feel fine, Nanny, and I haven't been near any... chickens.
[looks at Gonzo's toy chicken]
Piggy : Gonzo!

[Kermit tells the story of Sleeping Beauty with Fozzie, Rowlf, and Gonzo as the fairies and Piggy as the young princess]
Kermit : Each of the fairies had a gift for the little princess. One gave her the gift of music.
Rowlf : [gives the baby Piggy a harp] Little princess, you will play the harp better than anyone in the whole world.
Piggy : [sarcastically] The harp? Now that should come in handy.
Kermit : [narrating] Fairy Number 2 gave her the gift of beauty.
Gonzo : Little princess, you will have the longest beak, the bluish skin, the purplish lips.
Piggy : What?
[grabs Gonzo's nose]
Gonzo : Whoa! Uh, hee hee hee. Uh, make that the cutest nose, the pinkest skin, the reddest lips.
Piggy : That's better.
