Asked for fun and got it
TheLittleSongbird25 November 2020
There are a fair share of 'Tiny Toon Adventures' episodes that centre around an individual story, and there are great examples such as "A Looney Beginning", "Her Wacky Highness" and "Fields of Honey", all show high points. There are just as many, and perhaps even more, episodes that are made up of two or more segments (mostly three), again some great examples and many come off entertainingly but the quality is not as consistent with not every segment being completely successful.

Previous to "You Asked For It, Again" there were two other "You Asked For It" episodes. Both of which very enjoyable, although neither amazing or among the best 'Tiny Toon Adventures' episodes. So there were quite high hopes for "You Asked For It, Again". As well as hoping that it would improve on the previous few (still enjoyable but far from mind-blowing) episodes. It does marginally, but is still in the enjoyable but not mind-blowing category. The three segments, "Buster's Guide to Goofing Off", "Elmyra at the Mall" and "Hold the Sugar" are decent but neither amaze.

"Buster's Guide to Goofing Off" being the best of the three. That was very amusing and clever with the most energy of the three segments, and will appeal to even those that were studious about doing their homework (do confess to being in that category) and will be a riot for those that were rebellious and think of creative ways to delay homework deadlines.

"Hold the Sugar" was good fun and amused, though nothing was quite hilarious or inspired. Interesting to see what sugar addiction can do to you and there are parts where it is done in a wonderfully exaggerated way.

Weakest segment is "Elmyra at the Mall". While not an Elmyra detractor, despite how my reviews for previous episodes sound (it is dependent on her material and how it stacks up with that of the other characters), her segments do lack originality and tend to be too cute and not have enough energy or looney-ness. That is the case here and while Elmyra is not annoying she is on the bland side.

In all three segments, the animation is bright, lively and colourful and the expressions and reactions continue to delight. There is nothing questionable about the music placement or type and the theme song is still infectious. The voice acting is excellent.

Concluding, pretty good but not great. 7/10
