The system picks up a divergence in Jakarta. At a posh dining place Musashi/Dolores dines with two others, then gets a call from Charlotte/Dolores. She has a new plan, that doesn't involve dying. Charlotte warns him she has sent his location to another. Musashi tosses his cell aside then notices Clementine Pennyfeather sitting alone. After some tense small talk Clementine goes into attack mode and starts a 1 on 3 fight. A wild gunfight erupts as other patrons scatter. Musashi tries to escape but Hanaryo, another Host, runs him through with a sword, Clementine finishes off the henchmen. Musashi is decapitated and the two Host-women carry his head away.
Caleb has flashbacks of his old mercenary life. A divergence is located in Sonora, Mexico. Caleb and Dolores ride horses, she carries her long bundle. Dolores feels at home, Caleb asks about the Revolution. Dolores says she just wants a new start for "all of us". Her kind is extinct but people have a chance. She encourages him to be a Leader. They continue their recovery mission.
In SF Stubbs tries to stop William, Bernard checks out the tech, learning about Serac. He also discovers William has been injected with a sort of tracer in his blood. Bernard then tells William he is actually dead already.
Caleb has more flashbacks, he and Francis had hunted insurgents overseas. They act as spotters for a satellite weapon. On one mission Caleb realizes they were double crossed and was almost killed. Eventually they find the leader. Caleb also recalls being debriefed by a woman in a white room.
Dolores sets up a sniper rifle overlooking a facility. Caleb watches as she pilots a drone toward the complex, it has double fences and guard towers like a prison. Once the drone targets guards Dolores takes them out. They walk to the fence and easily get inside. Dolores kills another guard easily. Caleb recalls this was where he was debriefed wearing the goggles.
Further inside they find another black sphere Rehoboam. The OS asks for a voice command. Dolores starts to dialog with it. The computer recognizes Caleb down to his serial number but not Dolores. It knows what Dolores is though and says they are not alike. Dolores wants help to design a new world order. The computer tells Caleb he was one of the first to undergo a new treatment that only works for 1/10 people.
Bernard explains to Stubbs that William was sent to this facility as an Outlier, his mind turned inside out. Bernard surmises Serac started trying to reprogram people but needed test data. William admits he sold the Westworld park data. Stubbs finds more info on a successful Outlier reprogram and emails Bernard Caleb's file.
In the insurgency scenario Caleb and Francis have the leader and try to evac but were ambushed. Francis dies. Dolores leads Caleb downstairs , they find a Serac hologram who gives them a recorded message. Deeper inside they find another control centre, a vast storage of people in coffin like devices. Serac voice explains removing outliers was a success and Caleb is an example. Caleb then recalls that Francis survived the overseas mission after all, and they became hitmen, fueled by regular does of a lozenge tablet. Back to the leader, they chat with the bound man. Whitman says he is against Serac and hints Caleb was re-educated. In the Centre Caleb is sad they took his life away.
Outside a large aircraft lands, Maeve exits with a katana and tight black clothes. Dolores tries to convince the Central AI to find a better strategy for mankind and give it to Caleb, it finally agrees. She leaves Caleb behind leaving him with words of encouragement. Maeve communicates with Dolores by telepathy warning she is coming, Dolores tries to dissuade her. In the kitchen area the two start to fight.
Dolores wonders what Maeve is fighting for, Maeve repeats they are not the same. Dolores runs for it but the aircraft shoots at her too. Back in SF William regrets helping create the Hosts and vows to kill Lowe and Stubbs.
Caleb asks the computer what happened to Francis. Again he recalls talking with Whitman, who offered millions to let him go. The man warns Caleb the System will correct the situation. Francis returns, the men gather their guns and exit, outside Caleb asks Francis how much he was offered, then kills Francis first. He says sorry to the dying partner. Caleb then kills Whitman. Caleb finally recalls and is angry the AI used him to murder others including his own friends.
Maeve looks for Dolores outside. The two fight with knives, Dolores pushed out from cover, the aircraft blows off her left arm and she staggers away. Maeve approaches to end it all.
Maeve hears Caleb shouting at the AI how to end it, the AI gives him a memory key with the solution while Dolores hits a red Engage button killing power to the whole facility. Dolores and Maeve drop to the ground in the blackout.
In a small town Stubbs Lowe and William look around, the place is in ruins. William goes to take a piss in a gasbar, Stubbs tries to start a car. Bernard says Caleb will help stop It, saying Dolores won't destroy humanity, but "he" will. William comes out with a shotgun pointed at the two Hosts. Caleb looks at the fallen Dolores and hears a voice ready to give him instructions.
