Sherwood is rated 5.8 on this site overall, but the truth is it's much better than that. It's true it gets fairly political and focuses on climate change, but at the same time, it's a fun, slightly dark sci-fi world with great characters and cool tech. Visually, it was quite enjoyable, similar to the Deep. It has a bit of a dark feel at times as things get worse and worse, but it also has some optimism and a strong spirit and will throughout that make it a lot of fun. I enjoyed it quite a bit and had a hard time deciding between seven and eight stars. I gave it seven because it was too short and a bit heavy and dramatic for some reason. But it was still nice to watch.

Good idea but cartoonish production
Yahya_Adada23 September 2019
YouTube original is deligent with producing fresh ideas, however it should invest more into what makes a show top tier. That is, better scripts and bigger production. Sherwood got me tire by episode 5, whereby I couldn't finish the season. The production is cartoonish with a flimsy script and weak plots. Hope they'll reconsider their budgets in the future.
Started great, ended Spectacularly but the middle sucked

The animation is great, the voice acting is fantastic.
Sadly the script isn't consistent at so many levels. The main story had all the ingredients to be a a long lasting series but it felt like nobody proofread the script. I understand the need to create situations to build an episode around, but (without having to give a spoiler warning) it's hard to believe in a hero who goes into a warzone with a kid who just wants to come along for the ride! However this was the thing, the story was let down by too many incidents of smart people doing dumb things, not for comedy but to simply pad out scenes.
If you're reading this, don't watch it. It starts well and ends well (very well I thought) but so much of the series is pointless padding and when it finally picks up at the end, there's no season 2.

If you have a white son stay a way

Because this show just reallly hates white men and boys, Literally ever evil characte is white and male but there are no heroic, smart or cool white male characters on the good side.
Female characters are represented without any flaws and as perfect while white men and boys are shown as pathetic, weak and evil
Better than I expected!

I found this on YouTube originals and I must say I was very impressed by this series. It's not a story based on Robin Hood, but inspired by Robin Hood. The animation is very very good and I did like the story. In fact I watched all 10 episodes in 3 days. I liked the fact that it was set in an apocalyptic time and thought character development was good. I do look forward hoping there will be a season 2.
Simply annoying

You will be annoyed by the show. They don't even know the art of storytelling. They should some logic into the show. You will feel they forcefully created some situations that should not happen. I can go on like this whole day.
YouTube should invest in some good content.

A very underrated show

This show deserves more credit than what it has received. The character development, direction etc might not be extraordinary but it has quite a bit of impact as the the concept and storyline even though has a bit of flaws here and there is brilliant.
Love this series! When is season 2?

I WANT MORE !!!
saphinedolas21 April 2020
I like the show very very much, and I am really hoping that I will get to see more of the story and a satisfying ending, instead of a single season cliffhanger.
(I hate it when good shows, that I've come to love, do that!!)
Whatever other's say about it not being good enough, I do not agree (except at a few points in the dialogue delivery...). I love it, and would also love another season.
I'd like to tell whosoever is concerned that u have my full support for another season.
Please do not make me sad....
Okay thanks !!
Waiting eagerly.
A fan.
A series I hope returns...some time soon!

This show is a remake of the Robin Hood story, set in the far future in the year 2270. Some may grumble about the computer animation in this show, but I think it fits very well with the characters, making them all more expressive than ever. It's sad there aren't any LGBTQ characters in this series, but the story is the strongest part of this series, as are the themes expressed, with a major focus on climate change. I like this series a lot, but Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, Sym-Bionic Titan, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, Cleopatra in Space, and Adventure Time are stronger and have more world-building, more fleshed out characters, and everything, which is why I am giving this its current ranking.

Rewarding depth, baited breath for more episodes
danilion-8728531 August 2019
Despite the arguably baseless naysaying from others, this show invites all ages to consider a future of neglect to Earth, and how people across all spectrums often remained pitted against one another for the apathetic flourishing of precious few.
The voice cast is fantastic and pleasing, and the story captivating and gripping, at times somber, some levity, whilst never losing its overarching narrative. I have seen the dialogue described as dulcet tones and completely agree, as an aside to that aspect alone.
I finished episode 10 and, if the creators ever take notice, would beseech them to press on.

Amazing!

Highly appropriate and a fun family watch!! Really waiting for season 2!! The series has an amazing storyline, with a prefect blend of thrill and suspense. Good catharsis and really an audience pleaser. Really don't want to give any spoilers. I think the fact it's animated is just great as it shows the difference between reality and fiction. Diverse characters and explores today's problems and more complex issues but has light hearted tone striking a perfect balance. A really good take on the idea of Robin Hood but not a copy at all making it interesting and suspenseful. Finished the whole series in one day. Hopefully YouTube does season 2!!!!
