Imaginative Crosover.

Warning: Spoilers
An avid fan of the Koei Games myself, Warriors OROCHI has yet good potential as a crossover. It actually made good ideas on how the two Worlds of Dynasty and Samurai Warriors come together. A Serpent King fused the Worlds, and it's up to the two Worlds to unite and slay the Demon. The Sequel is on the way, so it's a must.

Gameplay: It is once again your Hack and Slash Warriors Game, but added an innovative Twist: Three-Way Partying with different abilities and Styles depending on the Warrior you choose. Unlocking characters and items shows good promise to players to play more and power-up more. (9/10)

Graphics: Not bad. (7.5/10)

Sound: Reused sounds, but added some new ones. The J-Techno Rock Fusion on the new songs make good timing. (8/10)

Voice: The Only thing I feel like wrong is that some Voices in this game sound pathetic. It wasn't as smooth-voiced as DW5, or as right-keyed in SW2. Although some kept the old good voices, and some new voices are well made. (6/10)

Replay Value: It's almost an experiment on how you unlock items and characters with really fused stages. I can sense things here. (8/10)

In conclusion: This is certainly fictional. But it has good potential and some creativity to apparently made it enjoyable. Kudos to Koei for being very smart about this. The sequel will too, apparently.

Warriors Orochi/Musou Orochi BEST GAME EVER!!!
anime_artist70731 December 2007
Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors are both very good games. However, mixing the two together was a WONDERFUL and CREATIVE idea. The story line was also quite amazing.

What to look for in this game BGM: The Background music for this game is absolutely AMAZING!!! You may recognize some BGM from Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors but they've also mixed Lu Bu's theme (it's more upbeat and some techno mixed into it) and added a couple of great techno songs to it.

Riding Horses: Everybody can whistle for a horse in this game (YAY!) What I thought as a very useful thing; in Samurai Warriors only Yukimura Sanada and Keiji Maeda had the ability to whistle for their horses. Now, everybody can.

Quotes: I have the English version of this game, and I haven't ever played the Japanese. But, Some of the character quotes are quite funny and witty, and can give quite a laugh.

The Best Warriors Game Ever!
mechg29945 October 2007
I've been a die hard fan of Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors Series. Warriors Orochi made my dreams come true. I hoped for Dynasty/Samurai crossover and it did. Too bad game reviewers gave this a poor rating. Man this why I don't trust video game reviewers. They're like always in a rush to review a new game and rate it. Here is my own and personal review.

Graphics: What is wrong about the graphics? They look OK just like typical Dynasty & Samurai graphics.

Sound: The voices were OK I just didn't like the new actors/actresses.

Music: The music was the best.

Gameplay: Traditional DW/SW Gameplay except you use 3 characters not only just one.

Special Effects: Love the effects.

Overall: This is a the best crossover ever.

If you really are a die-hard Dynasty/Samurai Warriors fan, play Warriors Orochi. And in your opinion review it whether it is good or bad. Don't listen to the reviewers if they give this a poor or good rating. Warriors Orochi is definitely a great game to play in my opinion.
