This episode marks the last to be shot in Los Angeles. Starting the following season, production moves to New York, where the show takes place.
This episode also marks the last appearance of Rebecca Romijn as a series regular. Starting the following season, she will be demoted to a recurring role.
Rebecca Romijn was not happy with the new writers on the show claiming they have wrecked her character by the sudden abandonment of supporting her family in favor of supporting Wilhelmina Slater's agenda of taking over MODE magazine and, unbeknownst to Alexis, eventually Meade Publishing.
For her 10 second appearance at the beginning of this episode, Lindsay Lohan was nominated for a 2008 Emmy Award in the "Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series" category. Because she was onscreen for only 10 seconds, Ms. Lohan withdrew her nomination.
The character "Madelon De Bie" is Dutch and she ends her scene speaking Dutch 'heel goed' which means 'very good'. Mode's baseball team's uniform is orange, which is the color of the Netherlands.
