- As Jane Seymour's fortunes rise, Anne's fall. Several of those close to her including her brother are tortured into confessing treason and beheaded.
- Jane Seymour's brother, Edward, is appointed a Gentleman of the Privy Chamber. Anne believes she can still marry off Elizabeth to France and repel the Seymours, but Cromwell is only following Royal orders to get rid of the Boleyns and switch to the imperial side, as her father Thomas senses. They believe to have triumphed when Henry refuses Chapuys's discrete alliance offer, but Cromwell tortures musician Mark Smeaton into a false confession of adultery with Anne. Brereton confesses to ensure the Queen's death, Sir Henry Norris and her own brother George Boleyn are equally found guilty and precede her beheading, only Thomas Wyatt is -wrongly- acquitted.—KGF Vissers
- The King offers the Seymours rooms near his own and informs the family that he will only see her in the presence of another member of her family. He has decided to rid himself of Anne but goes out of his way to keep the Boleyn family happy, thereby concealing his true intent. The Queen continues to seek an engagement for Princess Elizabeth with the French Prince. Her father believes the King is leaning toward a new alliance with the Spanish Emperor and tells the Queen to denigrate the French at a formal banquet. The King's reaction is not what Boleyn was expecting. Suffolk tells the King that the Queen has been entertaining men in her chambers and he places Cromwell in charge of an inquiry to determine if there have been acts of treason. The Queen's Ladies in Waiting reveal all, both truth and supposition, including a claim that she committed incest with her brother. Under torture, Mark Smeaton says he slept with the Queen and is arrested. The King begins to arrest all those who have been accused and four are beheaded. Queen Anne relocates to rooms in the Tower of London.—garykmcd
