Enjoying the series
jfgibson7330 November 2021
I am continuing to like Clint Barton in this series way more than I did in any of the films. The story has me anxious to see each new episode. And I'm very curious to see where everyone ends up when it finishes. This episode gives us some idea how far Kate Bishop has to go yet. Hopefully, this new villain will force her to up her game.

Problem Solving Mode
tristan_1924 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Bro, I found her.

This episode continues the storyline of the first flawlessly. We see our protagonists interact with each other and learning who the other person is. We get some more humor and some more clues. The heroes have a problem to solve from the get go, and it gives a clear mission and purpose to the episode, even though we are still cruising at relatively moderate pace. I think the new girl at the end of the episode - I haven't read the comics... - will be shaking things up in episode 3. Once again, a solid 8.4.

Great second episode
harry-3451824 November 2021
This episode grows in the mystery of the first episode, introduces some great new ideas, the character development is also great and once again the acting and directing amazing. And wow what an ending very excited to see echo in the future.

Kate and Clint Team Up
solojere24 November 2021
After being discovered in the Ronin suit, Kate and Clint find themselves on the run. This is another amazing episode, and I loved every second of it. Hailee Steinfeld's performance is amazing as always. Ans, she looks absolutely stunning. Additionally, Hailee and Jeremy have fantastic chemistry. I love their banter and how they play off of each other. I also love how their two separate stories overlap and that the show doesn't have to put Clint down in order to build Kate up. Instead, the show respects both characters equally. I'm so excited to see what comes next!

Already a banger!
wetmars25 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It was all an ordinary day in Winter of 2024 for Clint Barton having fun with his family until he overhear the news that the media has spotted a potential Ronin sighting and he has to protect & fight with Kate Bishop to take his mantle against the Tracksuit Mafia lead by Yelena to have revenge into believing that Hawkeye killed her.

Wow, two brilliant episodes in a row! As much I have loved Hawkeye throughout his run, he is undeservedly underrated. In this one, we get a character arc of him realizing how inspirational he is to other people. Kate Bishop is a fun & entertaining character, and I can't wait to see what the writers will do to her. The dynamic is great. The bottle fight was awesome, so was when poor Clint had to join up for the NYC Larpers to get his Ronin custome back, dodging every attack on him, and using his pretend-sword near almost everyone around him. About that, he still hasn't recovered from watching his best friend Natasha sacrifice for herself only for Hawkeye to get the Soul Stone. Poor guy, god damn man. But that scene of Rogers: The Musical was indeed intriguing.

I was wondering about how Hawkeye got hearing aids all of a sudden, but it was revealed that he has been exposed to loud window shatters and explosions. Honestly, I thought this show would be action-heavy, but I am sure glad that it isn't, but focuses on the characters. I just need a break from the superpower involvement stuff and embrace some heartwarming content for December. Barton is a good boy. Overall, fun & entertaining episodes that do a great job at introducing/developing the characters.

Two 10/10s for the first two episodes.

Time for some research
SHU_Movies24 November 2021
I'm a huge fan of MARVEL comics, but know little to nothing about Swordsman and Echo. I've only seen Swordsman in Avengers: United They Stand and (I think) Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, while all I know about Echo is she's somehow linked to Wilson Fisk. I've got a week to do more research. I've actually been reading Volume 1 of the Matt Fraction Hawkeye Omnibus in preparation for this show coming out so there was a lot of references that made me geek-out over pretty much nothing.

A even better episode
mmcardoso-1402224 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I liked this episode even more than the first one, Clint and Kate are a good duo with good chemistry from it's actors Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld. Can't wait to see more next week, looking forward for Maya Lopez/Echo played by Alaqua Cox.

UNDERWHELMING, UNEVENTFUL
alcantaraj-1659425 November 2021
A boring, underwhelming and uneventful episode, "Hawkeye"episode is perhaps the Disney+ MCU'S worst second episode so far. There's not enough chemistry and characterization from Clint and Bishop for the banter to work and most of the jokes misssd their mark.

Another excellent episode
namob-4367325 November 2021
This was not as amazing as the first one, and the pace is slightly off, but this is still very solid entertainment with great acting and great storytelling. This episode felt a bit more cartoonish and slightly more "marvel" if you get my meaning.

So far this is the best Marvel has done TV-wise (marvellous AoS excluded of course). Very nice and fun watch. I just hope they can keep this up.

8/10 this episode and well done.

Hailee Steinfeld
Sjamanen24 November 2021
Title says it all tbh.

Nothing really New if you have seen the trailers, and the stuff that was new was kinda "meh."

So far its as expected; entertaining but predictable. If it wasnt for Hailee Steinfeld, I probably would give it a 6/10... But she is stunning and great as always SHEEEESH.

Solid start, but I am hoping the show will be more interresting as the story develops; 7/10.

A solid episode
arazk-9425324 November 2021
I loved the jokes in this episode especially between Clint and Kate. I like how there is a little bit of mystery going on and I'm excited to see what happens now that the mafia leader is revealed. However not much happened this episode.

Quite funny although thin on plot
bobetjo25 November 2021
The second episode was quite funny in places. Almost pantomime. The comments that all the abandoned warehouses were now luxury lofts played to the audience. Still cannot really see is going on from scene to scene but that's OK.

Jeremy Renner is, well himself, in every action movie. Always watchable Tony Dalton is a great actor. Charming menace in Better Call Saul. Totally wasted here. I hope they'll give him some acting. Rest of the cast - bit blah. Could be anybody. Probably the incoherent script since Haylee Steinfelt is good in other things. Nice to see Piotr Adamcyk. Always watchable.

What am I missing?
MegaMaexn26 November 2021
This may just be the worst Marvel show ever... poor engagement, corny acting and boooooring storyline altogether. It feels like a substandard soap opera that was made only because someone had a little bit of money to spend. I pity Jeremy Renner for having to take part in this, but at least he must have got a good paycheque for it. This is not worthy of Marvel of Avengers standard, the scene with the Russian kidnappers sealed it for me, this show is total rubbish and not worth my time anymore.

I want a Hailee Steinfeld for Christmas
Trey_Trebuchet25 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
She's having a LOT of fun playing this character and it seriously shows!

Honestly though... I like that she and Renner are pretty much getting an equal amount of screen time. The LARPing scene was... strange? I'm not sure why this plot had to happen just for Clint to get the Ronin suit? Did I miss something there?

Still, great episode. I really dug Clint in particular. I hope he makes it home for Christmas and I hope somewhere between the LARPing and Kate's obsession, he realizes that he's an icon and a role model to so many despite his dark past post-snap.

It's a slow episode, but it has me surprisingly excited for more!

Hide And Seek
foxbrvar6 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Hawkeye (2021)

Series

1st Season

Episode Two - Hide and Seek

One thing I loved about this production is that normally in movies and series, the "more warrior" the woman is, the more serious she is, which is totally different about Kate Bishop, she is very funny, she has funny faces and mouths.

The RPG part reminded me of a game called Life is Strange: True Colors, there is an episode that is an RPG in this style (and this part of the game is very boring).

I liked Bishop's interactions with Clint, but when they are alone, I prefer Bishop's moments, as Clint's actor is extremely uncharismatic.

I had forgotten that Clint's wife is the real Velma from Scooby-Doo.

Episode two of the first season of the Hawkeye Miniseries watched on May 5, 2024.

Rating: 9/10.

Good episode if the humour appeals to you
snoozejonc8 January 2022
Clint goes after his suit and allows himself to be captured by the Tracksuit Mafia.

This is a reasonably good episode with some amusing moments.

The plot hasn't moved on significantly from the previous episode, but there is a little bit of intrigue developed around the character Jack.

My favourite scenes involve what Clint agrees to go through to get his suit back. I found this a funny concept and it is well filmed, performed, and edited. Generally the scenes where people react to meeting a famous person are done well.

Unfortunately most of the humour does not work for me. It's not the fault of the actors, they make the best of the material, but I think it's not that funny. Much like certain scenes in 'Falcon and the Winter Soldier' and 'Loki', there are lots of quick fire exchanges of dialogue between characters. These are mildly amusing but feel largely forced. It doesn't help that some lines are spoken so quickly and quietly they are almost inaudible. However, I appreciate humour is always subjective so it might be funnier to others.

When the action moves to the final scene it gets slightly better. Clint delivers one very funny line to the 'Tracksuit Mafia', and the humour generally feels a bit stronger. However, there is nothing particularly suspenseful or compelling about it as it is played so much for laughs.

All performances are great and the production values are mostly very good.

For me it's a 6.5/10 but I round upwards.

Warning: Spoilers
I found this 2nd episode a little bit better than the first. It wasn't as slow and I really love how the characters are developing together. There's good action and a few good laughs and it leaves it on a great cliff hanger.

Terrific Kick Off !
keraghel_mehdi25 November 2021
Terrific Kick Off for the Show by setting the proper Tone and introducing Kate Bishop and Bringing her to the Mcu very smoothly , And resuming the journey of Clint Barton and revisiting his previous Heartbreaking experience and exploring what it means to him and how it's affecting him on many aspects with in-depth approach , Setting a well-balanced Pacing by escalating the events with some interesting Turns and Some ambiguity around what's coming next and how the New Comers to the Mcu are gonna mark their presence , all that hopefully to be Unfolded 🔥

Fun to watch
svanwelie-177-49684425 November 2021
First episode looks good.

Easy to watch, right amount of action, nothing complicated. This is way more I expected.

I loved the originality and uniqueness of WandaVision, but Falcon & Wintersoldier and Loki were quite dissapointing, although Loki tried to reproduce the weirdness of Wandavision.

Hawkeye is just a plain actionseries, not as childish as most DC counterparts, with amusing visual effect, a good vibe, fun moments and not too violent, but not too soft either.

Decent Episode - Parent-Child storyline gets old
catherinemalek13 December 2021
This whole high school musical storyline doesn't get better with time. Parent wants child to go into said career and the child wants to 'go their own way'. We get it. We've seen it. Give us more.
