metamorphoses

Interesting evolution of events, characters , the pragmatism of previous episode having new sides.

A demonstration of courage from scriptwriters and a nice manner to remind the metamorphose of relations and people in college. An episode about feelings, beginnings, perception and politic, nice as demonstration about fights of an age to proper self definition.

The acting remains the precious virtue but the relation between main characters knows interesting forms, realistic, no doubts , but giving to viewer some nice surprises after a presumed linear story.

Sure, it seems be one of basic ingredients of Normal People and the motif to be so different by another series of period.

Party and politics

Time has moved on and Connell seems to struggle with college. He reluctantly goes to a party and gets a surprise. The feelings and care for the characters seems to be lacking a bit here.
