- The opening titles consist of real photos of deformities including babies and children, these are very disturbing and horrific and set the tone for the rest of the film.

- A man's head is banged against car door windows 4 times each time his head gets more bloody, we see his head covered in cuts and blood.
- A mutant is slashed in the leg with an axe (blood spurts), he is then hit on the back with the axe (blood sprays), he is the stabbed in the eye with the other end of the axe.
- A mutant is kicked in the face, hit round the face with the butt of a shotgun 7 times (blood flies around), he is then shot in the stomach (no blood) and then in the neck (blood sprays) and also in the shoulder (blood spurts).

- The first scene in the movie involves 2 scientists getting violently slaughtered.
