Amazing song/Interesting visual concept

Duncan Sheik's "Barely Breathing" is one of those soul-wrenching songs that stays with you for life, not just the way he expresses himself through his poetic lyrics but also musically, I mean the sounds he creates and puts together sounds like something from out of this world. And all I can remember is that there's only radio station who plays this marvel of music and whenever I'm tuned there there's a big chance for me to hear it. It'd take some decade later to finally get familiar with the video. As for it, it's a quite curious concept where Sheik is lonely and trapped inside a chamber, intercut with his performance with his guitar, and there's a small story of him getting involved with a girl in what appears to be a problematic relationship since they're often apart from each other.

Excellent editing with countless fast cuts, some brief bits where things go a little slower and this concept of someone adrift in thought and slowly dying while apart from the loved one indicate an asphyxiating feeling (hence barely breathing but don't panic, it's not a horror film). I think it works, I've seen time and again and there's always something new to get from those images. But it's the song that interests me the most and that's why I keep coming back. It's brilliant and it never gets old! 10/10.
