- The second season of Higurashi is significantly less graphic than the first. Throughout the 24 episodes, there is very little gore and moderate quantities of blood in focused bursts. The overall tone of the violence and impact of the blood though, when presented, is quite strong.
- During a prolonged hunting sequence, several characters are shot and killed by a sadistic antagonist.
- It's implied a little girl's chest is cut-open. The knife and a fair amount of blood, which hits the nearby wall, are seen.
- During one disturbing scene, several people are confined into a room, which is sealed up. A canister of gas is thrown in the window, killing the people. Some manage to escape and are shot as they run for their lives.
- Several other scenes of bloody violence.
