Not good
oldtraff20 October 2019
Firstly i should point out i don't consider someone going on love island or a online influencer as celebrities. I find most reality TV garbage, so most of these people may as well be working at wall-mart for what i knew about them. I also get into this type of show by rooting for someone, after watching episode 1 couldn't care less who wins or loses. So this was a huge miss for me and won't be watching anymore of it

After ep1 everything went to ... drain. Skip it because it is embarrassingly bad even for the viewers.

Simply awful
rmcgee-5792211 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
So basically, the worst singers are being kept to the end. The "public vote" is a joke. There's literally about a two minute window for the voting and every week since the live shows started, one of the best acts, or acts with the most potential are sent home. They CLAIM the first out is because of the vote but anyone with a brain can see it's the producers calling the shots. Then the second person is decided by the judges. So week 1 they have Olivia, who is, by a mile one of the best individual singers in the competition, in the bottom with this Martin guy (obviously the worst) and the judges give Olivia the boot. The second week, same thing. Two of the singers with the most potential in the bottom with Martin and Martin is safe again.... Yeah ok. Week three Martin is finally out because of "the public vote", then the judges are left with No Love Lost (the BEST group and one of the top two performances of the night) and V5 (a wannabe Fifth Harmony who lets face it, are pretty awful in comparison) So, what do the judges do? Naturally they get rid of one of the better acts the show still had, in hopes of shoving another mediocre girl group down our throats. The absolute worst part about the show is this trio of rugby players and redheaded lady I've never heard of are obviously being favored and I can't figure out why. The guys are so bad. So flat. So predictable. It's like a few friends who never sang before thought "hey, lets go talk the lyrics to some songs from magic mike on Xfactor" and that's exactly what they're doing. And the redheaded lady literally sounds like a dying whale. I've never heard someone be so off pitch in my life but these two acts continue to be praised for no apparent reason. There's only two contestants who can actually sing left, Megan Something Another who is usually amazing with a flat note here and there, and Kevin McHale who keeps picking the worst songs possible. Logically they SHOULD be the top two but I will not be surprised if they're the next to go.... because they don't play rugby.

Basically this show is overproduced trash

The term celebrity is unbelievably loose!

What a joke! Not only has 'normal' X factor become very edited and incredibly false but this is just a circus! Vinnie Jones sadly lost his wife, which is just awful, but then the show decides to film what was supposed to be Simon Cowell sending his condolences and turn it into a publicity stunt, It's just embarrassingly bad! A good laugh though if you want to see something that is comically terrible!

Some great performances, awful judges
perrycoooke5 November 2019
Some of the performances on this show are outstanding, yet it seems the best performances are rewarded with eviction, while the worst performers are continually kept in the show either because they are friends with Simon Cowell, or because they happened to perform early enough in the show to get the safe seat. With shows like this the final result of who is evicted should be cut and dry: the worst performer is out. Otherwise, the viewer gets a horrible feeling in their gut. It should at least be close! Martin Bashir is awful every week. He's unemployable in the real world, but keeps getting saved BY THE JUDGES over amazing, showstopping contestants. This doesn't normally happen on the XFactor but it obviously is this year because Simon is biased. If Martin had come on to the regular XFactor, unknown to Simon Cowel, Simon would have read him to filth and evicted him well before the live shows. Here, he selfishly keeps him while sending home contestants who've worked their balls off, simply because he likes Bashir as a person. That alone makes this show trash and I'm not going to watch it any more.

Celebrity Shambles Factor
aaronmills-4717422 November 2019
After years of watching the original X Factor along comes the Simon money maker with X list celeb's (if half can be called that) that should not be singing at all and then some very talented celeb's who should deserve to be a part of the fiasco that's the Simon Cowel machine. Not content with having passable entertainment, Nicole seems to get bulled by Simon and Louie each week to use her golden buzzer to put who they want on a chair and not who she wants on the chair, maybe Vinnie Jones should have done the audition as from his live sing i doubt he would have been on the live shows as he's utter crap (don't give up the day job Vinnie, ups you did as the acting aint great either). All in All just a show to get the public's money as they didn't want to do an real x factor this year as the public are over it and if rumour has it it's an x factor battle of the bands next year instead of the all-stars x factor as previously announced. anyway, i doubt i will be bothering with this train wreck of a show any more after this, it's all now a big yawn (The only thing this show has going for it is the lovely Dermot o'leary yum yum).

Cringe!
matthewconnell-606092 December 2019
This really has been an embarrassing season and I have to agree with everything the other reviewers have said. For long time fans of the X Factor... this incarnation really is an insult to the senses... how are we meant to believe that the judges have stood behind many awful performances for the sake of ousting some pretty decent ones. Sorry Simon... this has been a farce and I'm pretty sure you know it has been as well!

The Simon Greedy Piggy Mr Krabs Cowell Factor
chrisjslaughter0311 November 2019
This show I must say is completely awful, barely many good acts on with many if not almost all I have never heard of. It's no wonder the ratings for this are suffering badly and don't get me started on making a rival show going against Little Mix because we the British don't want to listen to this dross anymore. This is a show that seriously needs retiring.

The X Factor: Celebrity
studioAT1 August 2021
They were really struggling to keep 'The X Factor' on the air by this point, returning to the 'celeb' format that Simon Cowell had previously said they'd never do again.

It was fine, it was amiable enough, but it did feel like celebs (in the loosest sense of the word) 'playing' at being on the once great show, rather than this being a genuine contest.
