Brilliant choreographer

This is an absolutely amazing film; it has been broadcast a number of times recently by the TV channel Mezzo, and this has been done in connection with screenings of Sacre 2.

Uwe Scholz was incredibly creative in his short life; unfortunately, I have first seen his work after his death. The film really demonstrates how his choreography really enters the spirit of the music. Bruckner as ballet? But this is done convincingly.

The title of the film is taken from an interview Scholz gave in Poland; he was asked about the Bruckner choreography, and he says that it is Seelenlandschaften. A colleague also describes how the 3rd movement of the symphony - and ballet - is a statement of readiness for death.

A brilliant film
