A pretty solid piece of entertainment, without a cgi shark but real live footage, really great low budget movie.

If you guys are looking for a fun, suspenseful film like the original, this ones for you

For a low budget movie like this, the build up is good, the shark attacks and devours everyone on this movie, the attacks are really well done, it almost felt real.

The cast made a fantastic job and were credible.

The locations are wonderful, the underwater cinematography is stunning.

A pure fun Summer monster movie.

A new sequel with teeth...

Since 1987, that we don´t see another Jaws in the water, so i was reluctant to see what they come up with this tribute.

The shark scenes are reasonably effective, especially when we see nothing but a dorsal fin skimming through the surf, and the presence of his silhouette in the water, it´s really scary.

Only two characters are generic and unimpressive in this movie, the rest of the cast does a great job at it.

Still worthy for a fright night, I rate this film 7/10.

We´re gonna need a much bigger boat.

Jaws is back in this tribute by director Rui Constantino, a portuguese filmmaker, that this year has also brought us a non official sequel of The Thing, this guy is a visionary and a master of editing, they used real footage from the shark to make this entire movie, and it´s great and a good R-Rated movie, and he pushes it to the limit on this one, good performances on all cast, we´ve got a special cameo by Shawn C. Phillips the guy from Ghost Shark and he also does a fantastic job as deputy Tom.

I´ll give it a 10 for the awesome effort they made here, to bring us the Jaws vibe.

Even though not as good as the first and it´s sequel it is still worth a watch and you won't be disappointed.

This film is a classic Jaws homage, I'm a fan of all four for the simple entertainment aspect.

The acting is alright, the scenes with the shark are really well done, a fun popcorn flick.

The shark looks more realistic and if you can hang in there, you'll be rewarded with some good escapist entertainment, the gathering of all the fishermans going to sea is great also.

This is the one i´ve been waiting for...

Jaws Returns is a good litlle gem, directed by a creative man, that helms this movie the right way, he brings all the goods for an avid gore fan like me.

His movies are always r-rated and that just hits the spot.

The story is different from the other sequels of Jaws, this time two divers go these caves in search of some kind of treasure and then they are eaten by Jaws, he comes back from the deep to take his revenge once again on us, it´s really better than 3 and 4, at least for me.

Some people start to dissapear at sea, and then Torres the leader of the fisherman calls the chief of police to tell him, what´s happening and all hell breaks loose as we see Shawn Phillips the director from scream bloody murder and a good actor too, as deputy Tom, as he witness the death of a surfer calls the chief only to tell him, that they got a real problem at hands.

The special effects are ok, and the shots of the great white are really good.

I´m give this one 9.

A watchable return of Jaws.

I saw myself enjoying this return, because many years have passed since four, so i was eager to see this.

The action scenes were well done, and entertaining.

As a movie, and a monster movie, it is still an above average effort from a competent crew, but some characters are not particulary interesting like the hunter in the movie, with no motivation at all, didn´t like his character, he just sits there waiting for the shark to come, well he has no emotions, annoying at times.

The apprentice lack some skills and i didn´t like him either.

The deputy was ok, and the leader of the fisherman did a good performance, liked this guy.

The chief did an ok job, and the guy from the helicopter too.

Constantino and his crew somehow, made an entertaining decent movie, out of a film series that was in troubled waters since 1987.

6.2/10.

For the most part, 'Jaws Returns ' works fairly well, and there are some good jolts and action sequences, but at the same time there's nothing here that's particularly fresh.

The acting is not very memorable since basically all those who can act are gone before the end of the first 15 minutes.

This movie should be awful, but actually it´s entertaining, well-paced, and has some thrills.

7 of 10 stars.

I just watched it.

This movie followed the same formula as the first one.

The story begins in a town where two divers go to explore underwater caverns, and they are eaten by Jaws, soon he begins is attack on the beaches killing everyone, so deputy Tom calls the chief of police to send support, the chief hires a hunter to kill the shark, and at sea the horror begins.

It helps give the fans of the original, characters they can get behind, to add more to the story.

As for horror elements though, the scares are still there to some degree, the camerawork is spot on to the original.

So it´s not easy to make a sequel like this and i´m giving this one an 8.

Jaws is alive and well.

The plot is fast-paced and the movie descends into the depths of horror when jaws begins to attack the beaches.

It has various deaths wich i really loved, there are more surprises and thrilling moments, really liked the attack at the cage of the diver, and the surprise attack on the boat of the fishermans.

The cinematography is fantastic and shows great footage from the shark.

Nice one guys.

A Jaws movie with good action and suspense.

This new sequel comes across as a solid example of a horror/thriller hybrid, there's plenty things to build realistic characters; fine photography brings the beaches and ocean to life and gives the film exactly what we want in a movie like this.

This time around we have two divers exploring some caves, when they have a deadly encounter with Jaws.

So the chief of police summons his crew to take care of the shark, we´ve got a fisherman, a deputy a young man and the hunter.

Let´s start with the fisherman, this guy is a leader. He gathers his crew in a meeting and punches a table, and scream to all of them, a really a good credible character.

The chief of police is played well, as he tries to uncover the mistery behind the killings at the beaches.

Deputy Tom is played by Shawn C. Phillips, an actor known among us for his B and Z movies but here he also plays a worthy role.

The young man is played by the director of the movie, it´s like a cameo and we don´t see him much.

Now for the hunter, i think he could have done a lot better with the character, most of the times he talks really slow and if it weren´t for the subtitles, I wouldn't understand anything he said, for me he looked tired trough the whole movie, it´s the only let down.

You pretty much know what to expect, people are going to get eaten.

So it´s a 7 for me.

Even scarier that i tought it would be, call me crazy but i really liked it a lot.

For a short movie, it´s really great, i thought this was going to be some CGI fest crap, with a crappy shark swimming and killing everyone like that one from syfy with two heads and four heads, but no, this is a really well done movie, with skilled actors that make a believable presence within their characters, to make us fans, believe that this shark could kill us and we don´t even see him coming.

This movie is very intense, and i can´t wait to see it again.

10 out of 10.

The legend continues...

The sumer is on, and people go to beach, meanwhile two divers go in to some underwater caves, really deep, only to encounter death, because the cave is where Jaws lives, is his home.

So Jaws gets out and starts to hunt some surfers, the movie is very gory, full of blood in the water.

This shark isn´t fake, it´s a real shark, the scene with the cage is full of tension.

Most of the people in this movie die.

THE GOOD. It tells a good story. It takes its time and doesn't rush into things.

THE BAD. The hunter isn´t great, he should have been more energetic, than he was, and the apprentice lacks some character development, if these were better, my score would have been better.

But all in all, as a low budget i´ll give it 7 out of 10.

A good follow-up to an American classic.

Memorable moments:

The attacks have very gory.

The story is solid; a Great White Shark terrorizes the people of a town.

The dog saved his owner, from gettin eaten.

The fishermans go to sea to catch and kill the monster.

The shark attacks several boats The shark attacks the cage of the diver.

These are the moments i´ve loved from this movie, will watch it again later.

Full of suprises, shocks, breath taking action, and a wonderful score, Listen to my words, and hear my cries, JAWS has returned.

10/10.

Jaws Returns is alright.

Another great white shark claims the shores of a beach from a town, so the chief of police, a shark hunter and a boy go to hunt it.

The special effects are modest but effective when they have to be.

But it's a good production of its time and a good sequel.

Overall its ok.

The original is a classic, but this one packs a punch

Jaws Returns opens up with 2 divers exploring underwater caves, when they are attacked by the shark, but as it gets going it really cranks up the tension, featuring some really good, tense moments.

Things get better again when the chief is warned by the leader of the fisherman and some other guy, that people are missing, he then hires some guy in (Quint mode) to hunt the shark, but this guy is nowhere near the performance of Robert Shaw, well he tries but fails in doing it so.

There are plenty of scary moments, especially in the scene of the surfer been killed by Jaws.

Overall I'd definitely recommend this to fans of the original.

Its time for some more shark action, cause Jaws has returned.

What a fantastic film this is, what you see on film is an exciting and suspenseful ride as you watch the shark stalk (and eat) surfers, fishermans, divers, and people at the beaches, we get to see the shark a lot more, wich is really good filming here, the footage is great.

This was an excellent adventure film. Love it.

Some great elements that is a fun watch.

I will give this film credit for doing a good job with great underwater shots.

There's also some fantastic horror elements, like the scene with the girl in the cavern and the two divers in the beginning.

A good horror movie, competent and serviceable, and I loved the ending.

This movie is a dark, scary, and gripping thriller, when i saw the news on dread central that this was going, to hit the sea, and then i saw the trailers, and tought, this is actually good, they didn´t make a cgi shark, they deliver the goods, and show us a real great white.

This is what i´m talking about, the real deal folks.

It is a worthy sequel and certainly is better than the likes of Boa and Anaconda.

What more can you ask of a short movie like this ?

Well, this short movie was a surprise.

Once again the team that brought us The Thing Returns did it again!

The acting could have been a bit better on this one, but the potential is there nonetheless.

Constantino and his team brought Jaws to the portuguese shores and it was amazing, and we also get to see Shawn C. Philips making an appearence!

Once again I say haters gonna hate just out of spite, but these kind of productions should be supported because they take the portuguese (and american) banner out into the world!

Congrats to all that made this one a reality!

Watch this one, you are not going to regret it.

The fan film we didn´t know we need.

It´s a brilliant movie all the way, everything that we want and expect in a fan film is here, loved the real footage of the shark, and for me this is what made the movie look so real.

It has some new surprises and nods to the classic lines from the original.

There's plenty of fan service here, so it´s 9 out of 10.

Jaws is back on the water on a low budget

Jaws Returns is a rare true gem, made by director Rui Constantino, that here show us is incredible talent for storytelling, this hommage has everything a jaws fan (like me) could ever wanted.

It´s great, and a good r-rated movie, and the final hunt of the great white, makes it for the ages.

Instead of a crappy cgi shark, we get to see, real live footage of the shark attacks, and that for me hits the spot.

10/10.
