One of my least favorites

It's strange how the majority of Detective Conan films that I recall not enjoying in the past turn into some of my favorites now. The same is true in Detective Conan: Strategy Above the Depths, a film that was once one of my least favorites but has since grown on me. I should at least address one of the reasons why I wasn't a huge fan of this movie before I started. Out of all the movies, the translation in the version I saw was the worst. Since there isn't a better-subtitled version of this film accessible, this critique is carried over into this review. It's the only thing preventing me from telling others about this movie.

Having said that, I'm happy that Kogoro's level of competence was attempted to be raised in this film. It's good to see him interact with someone other than Conan. I also thought this movie did a good job of handling the culprit. He attempted to maintain his innocence, but we got to witness him committing the crime. Given the situation Ran was in at the time, the only thing I could find fault with was her justification for going back to get a unique item that she had forgotten. That is not something that a reasonable person would ever do! Other than that, the film looks amazing.

Even if I wouldn't suggest this film to everyone, I'm nevertheless happy I saw it once. A really enjoyable movie awaits you if you can look beyond the awful subtitles.

Wants a bit too much

"Meitantei Conan: Suiheisenjyou no sutorateeji" tells the story of Detective Conan and his friends, who go on a journey on a cruise liner when suddenly murders accure on the ship, bringing all of the passagers in notable danger.

In many ways this movie functions like a typical episode of the series and experienced viewers will soon gain an idea of how the case will be solved in the end. Howrever, at some points it feels like producers felt the need to make this movie special within the series and it breaks with some of the basics, for example when Mori actually solves the case and isn't just manipulated by Conan. That could be a great idea, however it is not really realized in a very plausible way and seems a bit wanted. Unfortunately those incidents lower the quality of the otherwise solid case.

All in all Conan Fans will still have their fun with his one and it is definitely entertaining, even though it tends tobe a bit overly dramatic and breaks with some well-known patterns of the series.

I finally saw the real reasoning level of koguro Maori

The beginning is a story similar to that of Titanic 15 years ago, but this one is a man-made accident. The main story of the film also takes place on the ship, but this time there are no icebergs and no accidents. Some are just revenge, from the hatred that has not dissipated 15 years ago. The most surprising character in the film is koguro Maori. He always gives us the feeling that he is a detective who can't reason at all. He has been relying on Conan to help him solve the case. But this time, his performance is impressive.

This movie is really very stupid choice. Simple, the extreme boredom it brings, the stupid thing it shows. no fun, no joy, no interest...

This movie, buy with lots of money ... is being proved a bad choice and a regret.

This is my biggest regret because I am personally a Conan fans, this one and movie 11 Jolly Roger are the 2 rubbish movies that I spit on my DVD when I watched.

I wish to say that I was too stupid to buy this one.

I watched this movie and was feeling unhappy when some people here still comment this movie is worth watching Don't COVER YOUR REAL HEART TO SPEAK THIS HURTS OTHERS when they buy this and no like it.

This movie is really the worst in the Conan 10th anniversary movie lists.

This one is really not worth buying and even rental also wastes your money.

The boredom, serious boredom makes many people regretted for spending money because Conan, detective Conan movies are usually very funny and interesting, but this one destroyed every Conan fan's happiness.

This Conan movie is a total crap, don't waste your money, buy this one.

This one is the worst Conan movie. and your WORST choice.

This movie had been judged by 10 Conan fans, and 9 out of 10 choose this one as number one worst.

think how bad this movie is...

but if you love ocean you can try see, but I am sure you would regret like that time I was when buy this one watching.

Conversely, the next one, Private Eyes Requiem , is the best of all 10th anniversary.
