Not too smart...

Warning: Spoilers
I have generally enjoyed the series, because of the quirky protagonist, but I felt compelled to submit a review of this episode, because it was just really dumb. I mean, we have Kari going up against a cold-blooded serial killer, who, in a confrontation with Kari, earlier in the episode, has already mentioned Kari's daughter. And yet, later on, after Kari himself has been confronted yet a SECOND time by the serial killer, and also, after Kari has, in effect, stolen, and hidden, the killer's own daughter, it never seems to cross Kari's mind (or the minds of any of his fellow police officers), that Kari's daughter should not only be under guard, but probably ought to be hidden away in a safe house. And, of course, as would be expected by anyone with an IQ greater than 5, the killer does, in fact, kidnap Kari's daughter.

It was just a real setback (in writing), in what are usually pretty decent storylines. It's super frustrating and disappointing that such a lame plot could actually make it "out the door" without somebody calling "foul", and forcing the storyline to be more believable.

You gotta be kidding me!

Spoilers!

Besides being difficult to follow what the evil genius' plan was, how was Janina not put into 24/7 lockdown in Fort Knox the second the evil genius left Kari's house? Everyone knew the evil genius had a thing for Kari. Then later the entire SWAT team has the evil genius in their sites when he's on the way to the hospital, and he somehow slips away? Oh right, because he's an evil genius (ie, a former pharmacist). And can we have a moratorium on evil geniuses going after our hero's family? It's lazy writing and ubiquitous.

A forced story

Warning: Spoilers
First of, I am disappointed with the 2020 season. Some of the dearly characters are either gone or minimized in terms of appearance. Sorjonen is cool but he needs other characters to support his. That is the problem that the producers and writers didn't see in the beginning when they conveniently make all previous episodes related to the family members (how could Katia and Janina always involved with super dangerous criminals are very cliche and too convenient to me). The problem with that, viewers invested feelings on them that suddenly everyone is the main stars and the producer realizes that they need to pay those people while at the same time Sorbonne needs to be paid more.

Having said that, the episodes or stories related to Laaso is always so cliche to me. Overly dramatic, forced and I the end creates too much loop hole and conflicting psychological part of the character. Becomes unbelievable and therefore laughable. Stories about nemesis is always tricky and overused. I can't believe that Laaso can't be found. The type of criminals that he did are also beyond belief. If he is soo dangerous how can no more effort put to find him. Can't believe that he can appeared inside Kari's car just like that when there are tens of police around. It is either the Finnis poliisi are really bad (which I hope is not the case) or the writers are not good. We can choose.

Dumbest episode of the series till now
anubhavmarwah1411 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The killer says JANINA, how dumb do the police have to be to not get it, especially after moving killer's daughter, Janina automatically becomes a target.

Also, the killer was going to visit his daughter in the first place, why not set up the trap in the daughter's hospital room instead of moving her to a different place?

How dumb are these writers?

Really pissed me off, some of the episodes were actually decent in this series.

It's going downhill though!

What?

So many poor decisions made by the police in this episode that the ending/solving was almost laughably bad.

Zero field research

If I were a Finnish cop I would be deeply offended by this series which makes the cops look totally incompetent and unprepared... The last season must be described as Science fiction and/or Psyhological, under ni circumstances a police action movie. The bad guy is also overrated, which is not necesarrily bad but here there is no logical exolanation for him to know everything and be so stealth, he is probably rented from Marvel comics.
