One of the panelists is certain that there’s a legend under one of the masks in The Masked Singer Season 10, but does the guess fit the clues so far? Based on the reasoning in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the November 8 episode, possibly! Following Donut’s performance on “One Hit Wonders Night,” panelist Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg seems to disagree with the others’ line of guessing. “You guys are thinking of actors, but I’m leaning more towards amazing vocal artists, legends,” she says. “When I hear hit after hit, I hear, ‘She’s a Lady,’ ‘What’s New, Pussycat?’ and then I saw the bow and arrow clue, and I thought the song ‘Cupid.’ … I could be wrong, but I think this is the legendary Tom Jones.” Watch the full sneak peek above to see what the rest of the panelists — Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke — think of her guess.

I generally pay as much attention to the broadcast network development season as I do to the baseball draft. Though the shows that actually survive development are much closer to airing chronologically than most baseball draftees are to the majors, the winnowing process is just as brutal in both cases. On average, a given network will hear 3-400 pitches a year, order scripts for 60-70 of them, make 8-12 pilots and put roughly between a half dozen and a dozen of them on the air. So I’ve usually found development not worth worrying about until shows are actually ordered to series and scheduled. That said, it’s been tough to ignore this fall’s development season, where it seems like every day for the past few weeks, my Twitter feed has blown up a few times an afternoon with news of a familiar movie or TV property being adapted...

This Sunday’s episode of The Good Wife was ostensibly set at the white-tie Shamrock Dinner, where Peter hoped to cop a hug from Cardinal James (and embrace the 800,000 Catholic votes that come with it). And while two big “events” took place at the gala — a supreme overture and an “epic” blow to a nose — much of the action (including one sobering realization) took place at the Chicago Pd, amid reveling, crooning figures.
Because no sooner had Alicia begun to get her drink on at the dinner — including giving Mike Kresteva a taste of her new “honesty” policy — than she...

Writer-producer Michael Oates Palmer (The West Wing) has signed a two-year overall deal with Universal Television. The pact, which starts in June, comes on the heels of Palmer developing two hourlong projects at Universal TV’s sister network NBC — American Exile, a contemporary take on the Casablanca love triangle, with McG’s Wonderland and Warner Bros. TV, and The Hurt, a medical drama with the Shepherd-Robin Co and Wbtv. The latter was originally set up at FX. Additionally, ICM-repped Palmer recently turned in his script for Skinny Dip, a half-hour adaptation of Carl Hiaasen’s novel for HBO with Michael Keaton attached to produce and potentially star. Palmer’s series credits also include AMC’s Rubicon and ABC’s Cupid. This is the latest of a slew of overall deals at Universal TV, which has been aggressively beefing up its talent roster this spring, heading into next development season.

Why do "Bent" and leading man David Walton get no love?
In ensemble comedies, there's always one actor that manages to transform their character and inadvertently transcend the others -- even just a little. It's a totally subjective thing, but as far as I'm concerned, Monica Geller ("Friends"), Jack McFarland ("Will & Grace"), Brad Williams ("Happy Endings"), Ellie Torres ("Cougar Town") and Jay Pritchett ("Modern Family") could or can do no wrong, and they shine just a teensy bit brighter than the rest.
Aside from those characters, my new favourite is Pete Riggins, played to scene-stealing perfection by David Walton. Oh, David Walton. (If this was Twitter, the hashtag would be #swoon.) He isn't exactly sublime or particularly innovative with his performances (based on his latest series, "Bent," the criminally undervalued "Perfect Couples") and he was the one notable exception in the dismal "100 Questions." In fact, he's really a two-note pony...

Missing the stars of some of your favorite cancelled TV shows? Well thankfully, many of them are still working on the small screen. Here's where you can find them.
George Lopez (Lopez Tonight) is working behind the scenes for a change and is developing a comedy project that's based on the life of comedian Mark Viera. In the Fox sitcom, Viera will be playing a blue-collar guy who buys a building in the Bronx and tries to teach his son some street-smarts.
Bobby Cannavale (Cupid) is guest starring on ABC's Modern Family as the former clown partner of Cam's alter ego, Fizbo. The episode will air in early 2012. Cannavale just finished wrapping a 10-episode arc on the upcoming fourth season of Showtime's Nurse Jackie.

The CW television network is on the move to attract more youth-oriented viewers once again, developing a new series from Sherlock Holmes producer Dan Lin and "Veronica Mars" executive producer Jennifer Gwartz entitled "Dare". Easy A writer Bert V. Royal is attached to pen the hour-long action-thriller from Lin Pictures and Warner Bros. Television.
Per THR the story revolves around a group of five twentysomethings who are forced to play a deadly game of Truth or Dare while trying to discover who is behind the game and how to stop it.
The deal continues Lin's relationship with Warner Bros. Television, where he has an overall deal. Last year he developed "Poe", a supernatural period crime procedural exploring how Edgar Allan Poe's most famous stories came to be. ABC produced the pilot but ultimately passed on the drama in May. As for Gwartz, her credits lend themselves well to the action-drama:...

This the Pure Movies review of Paul, directed by Superbad’s Greg Mottola, from a story by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Joining the comedy’s cast are Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Blythe Danner, Joe Lo Truglio, John Carroll Lynch, David Koechner and Sigourney Weaver. If the thought of yet another Pegg-Frost offering turns the stomach, click away now. This is the pair’s ultimate geek-worshipping buddy flick, with a little help from fellow Us nerd Seth Rogen, voicing Paul. It all sounds distinctly ‘non-Valentine’, the decisive anti-date movie. But if a little bromance, escapism and a good consistency of chuckles will get your beloved in the mood, don’t dismiss this alternative Cupid’s arrow on face value.

Seraphim have sung songs about it from the heavens, Cupid’s gone on an official holiday ’cause his job’s done and Armenia declared the day of the popped knee a national holiday. We’re also also aware of the blinding awesomeness of carattitude that is her ring. Which isn’t so much as a rock as it is an island.

Sources say that he got two bible passages that are important to the couple inscribed. Which is just adorable, sure, but we’re dying to know which ones! Three high-profile pilots just landed their leads: Martin Henderson will headline NBC's drama The Crossing, Sarah Paulson will star in NBC's Kari Lizer comedy and Lauren Ambrose will topline Fox's drama Weekends at Bellevue. Written by Josh Brand and directed by Peter Horton, The Crossing is set in a Missouri town during the post-Civil War Reconstruction era and centers on Jason (Henderson), a Civil War soldier who crosses the country and settles into a complicated town where he is welcomed as its savior - whether he likes it or not. The casting is in second position to Henderson's current series, ABC's softly-rated midseason drama Off the Map. The Crossing's female lead is Henderson's Off the Map co-star Rachelle Lefevre who is also in second position to the ABC medical drama, so NBC is making a big gamble that Off the Map won't come back for a second season. Writer Michael Oates Palmer has set up a dramedy at ABC Studios and a comedic drama at FX in addition to a drama he has in the works at Epix. As part of a blind script with ABC Studios, Palmer will write an untitled project loosely based on the New Zealand series Go Girls. ABC Studios and ABC first took a stab at adapting the series, from the creator of another popular New Zealand show that found its way to American television via ABC, Outrageous Fortune aka Scoundrels, last season with writer Liz Tuccillo. Palmer is working on the project with producer Julia Franz in a partnership grandfathered in before she left ABC Studios in September to join Jamie Tarses at her Sony-based Fanfare. Love Bites for Jennifer Love Hewitt. No, that's not a snarky comment on the actress' highly-publicized romantic travails. Rather, the newly-single Ghost Whisperer star and self-professed romantaholic has been tapped to guest star in the promising NBC pilot from Sex and the City scribe Cindy Chupack. Details about her cameo are being kept under wraps, but a Peacock insider tells me that Hewitt will play herself. My guess? One of the show's lovelorn leads — portrayed by Ugly Betty's Becki Newton and My Boys' Jordana Spiro — will meet Hewitt at a signing for her new memoir-slash-advice book, The Day I Shot Cupid.

Granted, I'm using the word recast loosely here, but Grey's Anatomy has tapped Angel's J. The flashback-heavy hour, appropriately titled "Time Warp," will shed light on the beginnings of the affair between the Chief and Mer's mom. But back to Richards and Paulson, their resemblance to James Pickens Jr. and Kate Burton is pretty uncanny, no? Paulson and Burton,...

The "Robot Chicken" gang is going primetime.
Fox has ordered a presentation and a script for an animated project from Seth Green, Matthew Senreich and Tom Root that is being produced by 20th Century Fox TV and studio-based Chernin Entertainment.
Separately, Peter Chernin's company has set up at Fox a darkly comedic drama from writer Diane Ruggiero.
Green, Senreich and Root's project, which uses family life and a high school as backdrops for a wide cast of characters, "will have an aesthetic familiar to viewers of Fox's popular animated comedies," said Green, an original cast member on Fox's flagship animated comedy, "Family Guy."
That is a departure from the trio's previous efforts, Adult Swim's "Robot Chicken" and "Titan Maximum," both of which are done in stop-motion animation.
