The elderly Margie, suffering from episodic but advancing dementia, is cared for in her rural home by Isabel (Bel) and other caregivers. Margie's granddaughter Jenna advises Bel that retaining full-time care has become too difficult, and Margie will be moved this afternoon to a nursing home. Jenna asks Bel to give Margie a pleasant final day by keeping the move a secret. She also warns Bel to prevent Margie from entering a locked bedroom that belonged to Margie's deceased daughter. Margie's last visit to the bedroom triggered a psychotic reaction.
