This was the only time actresses Deidre Hall and Markie Post were castmates, with Hall having a decade earlier originated the character of Electra Woman on Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (1976) and Post 15 years after this special playing that same role in an unsold and unaired pilot made for the WB Television Network (Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (2001)). Yet another short-lived reboot, that one a web series, was made 15 years later still (Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (2016)) with Grace Helbig in that lead role. Incidentally, the sidekick character Dyna Girl was played in three versions respectively by Judy Strangis, Anne Stedman and Hannah Hart.
The only shared credit of actresses Linda Blair and Deidre Hall, both of whom are famous for playing characters that were possessed by the Devil, respectively the characters of Regan MacNeil in The Exorcist (1973) and Dr. Marlena Evans (later Brady and then Black) on the soap opera Days of Our Lives (1965), that storyline initially occurring in 1994, eight years after this TV special aired, and as of this writing [9/23/2021] being renewed as one of the current storylines following up on the demonic occurrences of the past in the soap's fictional Midwestern location known simply as Salem. Blair brought back her "Exorcist" character for the franchise's first sequel, Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977), and would also spoof the character in Repossessed (1990)).
