It’s only fitting that Jackée Harry should guest-star on the Christmas episode of Young & Hungry, as she is truly a gift to us all.
VideosSaved by the Bell‘s ‘Jessie’s Song’ Turns 25 — But Is It Really Teen TV’s Best Pill-Related Freakout?
The holiday special — airing Nov. 24 at 9/8c on ABC Family — finds the Sister, Sister star playing Yolanda’s sister named, wait for it, Jolanda. (Yes, you read that right.) Gabi encourages Yolanda to invite her over for Christmas in an attempt to heal old wounds, but her plan backfires when she learns that Jolanda is keeping a big ol’ secret.

Sunday night's Emmy Awards, ratings-challenged though they were, felt historic. Viola Davis became the first ever black performer to win the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series trophy thanks to her work on "How to Get Away with Murder." Her speech was fantastic, as was the response from another historic Emmy winner on Twitter. Jackée Harry, who won the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy in 1987 (for "227"), tweeted at Viola Davis following her victory. It was pretty rad. Say it again, @violadavis! As the sole black supporting actress winner for 28 yrs, I pray your win represents Change. pic.twitter.com/JHlfZ9qlnX — Jackée Harry (@JackeeHarry) September 21, 2015 Harry's not just historic because of her Emmy win; she's also one of our funniest 50 women of the past 50 years. Here's hoping for a Viola/Jackée collaboration soon. Correction: This originally stated that Uzo Aduba won in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy.

Sadly, we have reached the end of Empire’s highly entertaining and historic first season. While I know what I’ll be doing in its seasonal break to at least try to fill the void in my life – talking to Black aunties at various fish fry spots in Harlem, men with Lucious Lyon styled conks on the street, and ignoring the people emailing me their mixtapes – I am already envisioning how I would like season two to go. It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday, which means I hope Fox decides go through with plans to bring the show back in the fall as opposed to making me wait until January 2016. I don’t feel like waiting that long. Here’s what needs to happen next season:
Oprah has to play a fledgling R&B Diva
No, not like some of the people you’ve never...

Boy Meets World Meets Sister Sister, anyone?
EW has confirmed that actress Jackée Harry, best known to Gen Xers as 227′s vampy, Emmy-winning Sandra and to Millennials as Sister Sister’s flamboyant adoptive mom Lisa, will appear in the pilot episode of Girl Meets World. There’s no word yet on whether Harry appears as a guest star or as a potential recurring character, should the Boy Meets World spinoff be picked up to series.
So, will Jackée be playing a sassy teacher who works with Cory (Ben Savage)? A sassy lawyer who works with Topanga (Danielle Fishel)? A sassy...

The Huffington Post reports that 227 and Sister, Sister's Jackée Harry has joined the cast for the pilot of Girl Meets World, the highly anticipated Boy Meets World reboot. There's no word on what role she'll have, but we're pulling for her to be Mr. Feeny's love interest because, well, imagine the slash fan fiction. While she's at it, we hear Step by Step wants a reunion, too — can't hurt to add a little Jackée to everything.

We've all come to know and love Showtime's 'Nurse Jackie,' but Funny or Die has taken it one step further (into greatness?) with 'Nurse Jackée.'
Ever imagine a world where Jackée Harry starred as a wise-cracking nurse with an addiction? Imagine no more and feast your eyes on 'Nurse Jackée.'
She's brash, sexual and has developed an addiction ... to being fabulous.
Keep your eye out for 'Parks and Recreation' scene-stealer Retta and 'Community' actor Jordan Black.
Watch the video after the jump.

We Love Soaps TV: Ms. Harry, it is such a pleasure to talk with you, I have admired your work all the way back to Another World. But I’d like to start by talking about this exciting movie that is coming up this Saturday, February 26th, called The Ideal Husband, airing on Gmc at 7 p.

Last night gave us an unexpected gift hand-delivered return receipt requested from God himself, as 227‘s Regina King and Jackée Harry joined Bravo’s Andy Cohen (“The most charming man in late night!” — My Jewish Mother) on his talk show Watch What Happens Live. The premise of this addictive talk show is simple: Get celebrities drunk and talk about The Real Housewives with them. You know what else is pretty simple? The Theory of Evolution. What do these things have in common? They are both genius. And the bar was literally raised last night as these fine women of 227 arrived at the show already sloshed, which means only one thing: This was to be Andy Cohen’s finest half-hour. So great was this 80s reunion that Jackée started trending on Twitter! Causing some people to think she died. (Questlove was obviously relieved.) Luckily, Jackée is more alive and wasted than ever.

Exactly three years ago, I wrote a "Happy birthday, Jackee Harry!" post on PopWatch, encouraging Marc Cherry and/or Shonda Rhimes to hire the brilliant comic actress for a recurring (or permanent) role on Desperate Housewives and/or Grey's Anatomy. Neither one took my suggestion. (Boo! Hsss!) Thankfully, she scored herself a recurring spot on Everybody Hates Chris for a minute, but now that The CW has taken that sitcom down to the river with the brick and the brown bag, it's time to start the movement all over again: Somebody Get Jackee Harry Back On Network Prime Time. I am not even trying to kid around here. I cannot watch this woman in action without busting out laughing. Check out three clips below -- from something called The Reluctant Agent, as well as 227 and Dave's World -- and tell me you're not on board with Operation Jackée. If you're with me,...
