This show is hilarious

The amount of pettiness going on in that police station is ridiculous! All the characters are really likable and the story is evolving well.

YES YES YES! FANTASTIC EPISODE!

Warning: Spoilers
Last week, I claimed that last week's episode was my favorite so far. However, that is now untrue because this week's episode has just topped it! It was the culmination of a couple of the most tense storylines of the series (although it was sort of a bottle episode, since the main cast were basically stuck in the ice for the majority of the episode). The writing was just too good! However, i thought that Asta's dad's reaction to finding out Harry was an alien was a little...unrealistic. He acted like he had seen aliens before (maybe he has? 😳) but i assume he hasn't, and if so, they could've made him freak out a little more. Also, I'm confused as to how quickly Harry went from being appreciative of Asta for basically saving his life, to "I will kill the human race tomorrow!". Like, I get that was his mission initially, but has he no hesitation after all this? I assume he will have to make a typical moral choice about this in the future. All in all, a great episode. Can't wait until next week. Not to mention, I loved hearing "Helplessness Blues" by Fleet Foxes starting the episode!

A great episode, loved seeing Harry and Asta connect and deal with their situation. Loved seeing Darcy be a badass. The whole episode just worked. Great storyline development and some authentic moments.

Brilliant Episode

Warning: Spoilers
This series has been the highlight of my lockdown so far. I really enjoy the interactions with the characters. D'arcy and Asta, Asta and Harry, the Mayor and the Sheriff.

The episode really brought home that humans can be kind to creatures even extra terrestrial ones and Asta being so lovely to Harry and trying to avoid his little teeth.

My one complaint is that I felt this episode was too soon. It would have been better if they could have built this up to series 2 or 3. It have been good to see Harry still adapting to human life in comedy style but hopefully the next few episodes will save this. A revival of Mork and Mindy.

Pace and off beat humor picking up.
mgavant18 March 2021
Transitioning to the main plot after weeks of slow, but effective, character and background development. The characters )intentionally)ll have their flaws, none fatal, and great strengths. The series is demonstrating how the "sum can become greater than the whole." A great message for our times and told in an off beat method. Not for kids. But, teens and older will enjoy or might at least understand the humor, even when it's a little dark.

Best Science Fiction Episode In Recent Memory

From a gripping opening to a over-the-top ending, this episode certainly had me on the edge of my seat. The episode is littered with surprises. Everything that was set up was paid off in interesting ways. I can hardly wait for the last two episodes to air.

End of the World as We Know It
Prismark1027 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The eight episode was a game changer in a surprising way.

With Harry, Asta and D'Arcy fallen down a crevasse,

Harry is seriously injured and displays part of his alien face to Asta.

His secret is out and Asta is enough of a good soul to help Harry out despite knowing he is an alien.

It makes you wonder what direction the show will take. It is no longer Harry on his own making his way through life on Earth.

Why do they want this show on the WB?!?
fuqshytup18 March 2021
Every new show on the WB sucks for a common reason. They try to turn their shows into vehicles to play *Way Too Prominent* music. And now this show is doing that same garbage. I counted 3 different times when a song that should have been in the background (if there at all) was instead cranked up to 11 like it's a music video. And the lyrics just happen to be about the situation or feelings that are happening at that moment. It's *Way Too Prominent*! It draws attention to itself and reeks of a desperate attempt to jumpstart the career of some untalented singer/songwriter who has a cousin that works for the network or some nonsense. I have been watching this show for 7 weeks now. I like the show. But this tacky trend of blasting coffee house music is enough to take me completely out of the story. It's distracting and embarrassing.

End of the World as We Know it.

Warning: Spoilers
Surprisingly sufficiently engaging, despite the minimal comedy present and that of which, away from Harry misses. Surely it would have been safer to just trust D'Arcy though.
