This episode was dumb in so many ways why would you risk your future career for one game at age 14 absolutely idiotic
The mom is annoying and poisoned the kids against the father when he left HER not THEM and then clearly made it impossible for him to be in their lives
And last the stupid speech at the end with him winning the mvp and giving it to his dad in an asshole fashion in front of everyone is so childish and corny and unoriginal
That doesn't make you a man if you wanted to show him something you should have won the trophy and dedicated to his mom and saying in the speech something like "thank you for being BOTH my mother and my father!" And have him just stare down his father
But no they went for the stupid cliche and honestly it was uncomfortable to watch and I just felt embarrassed for jayce
Otherwise the episode was ok but overall filled with corny lines and cliche's
Hopefully they'll address these glaring issues with the script in season 2.
