worst movie ever seen
RedAnarchy9 July 2009
this film is another German production without any sense, the whole film is boring and really not worth seeing it. the whole movie could be shortened to maximum 30 mins without losing anything important, because many of the scenes simply show people walking and saying nothing over minutes or things like that. maybe it would be the perfect short movie, but 80 mins are much too long for this story. I don't know what the writer thought while writing it.

i saw this movie in sneak preview and just after five minutes i asked myself how long the movie needs to finish. the only way i survived it was laughing about the comments made by the other watchers. my opinion about this movie is that the creators wanted to torture the audience!

but however, the end was kind of weird and because of that the best part of the whole movie.

Warning: Spoilers
"Pink" is a German movie from 2009, so it is already over 7 years old. The writer and director is Rudolf Thome, who was almost 70 around that time and he has been making films since the 1960s, also won a handful awards for his works. This film here is the story of Pink, a young female German punk writer for love poems who is quite well-known and popular in this movie. This title character is played by German actress Hannah Herzsprung and with her it is the same story as always for me. She has one face expression the entire movie, physical acting is almost non-existent in terms of body language and the approach she gives the character feels like one I have seen many times from her in entirely different movies for entirely different characters. Conclusion: I see no talent whatsoever with her and she should not play lead characters that are seen on screen almost for the entire film. The fact that I don't really find her physically appealing (even if she looks slightly better than usual) also does not help at all, especially in a story where we are supposed to believe that her character has three guys in love with her.

And this was the most bizarre part. First of all, why is she that rude towards a fan in the train telling him she will shoot and kill him and then at the same time he is romanced by three guys who are also apparently her fans and she willingly accepts it, even says she loves all three of them? Why is the guy in the train not getting a chance? All he wants is an autograph. Anyway, back to the three guys: Why would a woman want a scenario like this? If she is bigamous okay, then she would have sex with all three of them? Does she? I am not sure. And the filmmaker is not courageous enough to be precise there. Or is she just an attention seeker? Pretty cheap if you ask me. Okay, the story goes on that she ends up married with one guy after the other. Why married? How about first having a simple relationship. All three guys confess their never-ending love to Herzsprung's character early in the relationship. Then one guy appreciates his own life really more and never spends time with her. So she leaves him and what does he do? The most independent life-loving of them all (played by the late Guntram Brattia)? He takes his own life. Does not make any sense. The next guy cheats on her which goes completely against the film trying to sell us as the most desirable creature ever (especially in the eyes of the three men). And the ending is well.. maybe it's the best part of the film, because it is the most realistic with the third guy, and it shows that sometimes simple means most convincing. But it cannot make up for all the flaws from earlier in the film. I personally was fairly glad that the movie is really short (at 80 minutes), but I am shocked how a man like Thome who has worked for so long in movies is making such weak stuff. I hope he has not lost his touch and the two films he made afterward so far are better again. As for this one, it was really bad. Maybe a better lead actress could have saved the sub-par script. I highly recommend not to watch it.
